Thread: Rangers in the GCW

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I just realized that Rangers may become a LOT more useful in the upcoming GCW revamp. Correct me if my understanding of this is wrong, but we're supposed to be able to place pveor pvp bases anywhere andthey will count towards the planetary control system, right? Well,if that's the case, I would imagine people would try to hide these bases in very remote areas where no one goes. That would meanpeople would need to hunt for these bases by combing the wilderness... See where I'm going with this? Tracking would be perfectfot finding the npcs guarding these bases.What do you thin??

I just answered my own question. I didn't realize that the bases would show on the planetary map. I think that is sooo wrong. Take them off the map. Think about it. It would add excitement to the game. People would form hunting groups to look for these bases. Rangers would have a huge role. People would be encouraged to explore the whole planet rather than hang out by the c-net starport all day. cmon devs!!

well if they didn't show up on the map then there would be way too many bases scatterd all over. w/ the new system u get 3 bases when u buy a faction base now. 1 pvp and 2 pve. so they need to be on the map so atleast some of them can be destroyed so we don't have planets litteraly covered in bases..lol.

GL on finding a 'very remote area' on one of the planets that can be controlled btw, at least on my server no spot on any of those planets is really "remote"

LOL, nothing is remote as long as there are Rangers out there 
A couple of months ago I was hired to scan a planet for IMP bases...... I found 'em.
