Bio-engineers will need the eggs. And if they are all from the same planet you can manually stack them. They wont automaticlly stack unfortunatly. The same applies to mollusks and crustrateans.
They are only needed for one thing that I know of which is a dancers BE tissue.

Find a BE on your server. Try using the trade forums if you have a problem ingame. As far as them stacking, if it is the same shift, you have to stack manually in your inventory. I guess they are too round

If they're from the same planet, and from the same shift, you can stack them manually. I'm guessing you had eggs in your pack over a period of time, (different shifts) or you got them on different planets.
Otherwise, when you search a lair, they don't stack automatically with what you already have. (Like how harvesting meat/hide/bone works). Milk also doesn't stack automatically, unfortunately. Hopefully this will be fixed one day, but it's not too hard to drag and drop to your existing stack.
Incidentally, with the new change on TC, we'll be able to search a lair multiple times and have a greater chance of finding eggs. As for price, just find a BE on your server and I'm sure he'll be interested. (important stats are PE, FL, & OQ, preferably with those combined stats of >2300)

When I was BE, I was willing enough to pay 50 CPU for eggs ... they're a pain to get.

I drag the eggs mollusks, etc into either my backpack or a satchel, that way when you have 5 different types of eggs on you, it autocombines and you don't have to find the "right stack" of eggs

Yeah, good point. I use a locked container, but like you said, any container or even just your backpack is good to drop those harvests into so you don't have to figure out what stacks with what.
Fish, Crustaceans, Mollusks, Wild Milk, Domesticated Milk, and Egg... none of them auto-stack when you gather them, so just toss them into a subcontainer.
