howdo you guys feel about the changes to the GCW that are coming up?

I don't know about you, but as a scout, I stay the hell AWAY from the GCW, happy with my PvE and Hunting.

do you guys feel that our role as rangers & scouts will change in the "new" GCW?

I think the only way our role will change in regards to the GCW is if it is included in a revamp. With the (known) upcomming changes, our Tracking skill might be in demand again, and if /conceal continues to work against factional NPCs, we may be useful for that, but i wouldn't consider that a new or changed role.

while the new faction armor and perks will make it better, i still dont see rangers as being useful as an overt combatant. at least until a revamp.

with the way they're talking about neutrals, I'm worried... but I'll deal with that in the GCW forum.

Simply put, Ranger remain a utility class not a primary, with the upcoming intensive focus on PvP rather than PvE, Ranger will not see anymore use until they see some form of a revamp - IN ANY FORM.

Granted the need for our harvesting abilitiesmay slightly rise due to the increased buffing we will see from more players entering PvP, but honestly the GCW will not directly effect this class.

That's whatI thought you meant. They aren't reducing the neutral's role, IMO, just changing who they can affect. If you aren't a Medical type, I don't think it will have too much affect on you. Or, as far as Ranger's are concerned, neutrals won't see any difference.
