Honestly, there are few things better than being a ranger... however, being a ranger really means a type of playstyle despite what the skills are.

we complain, yet we still love it. Its like you can gripe about your own family, yet if someone else does it, they get smacked.

We rarely disagree on the big points, but we all have different ideas that contribute to the overall agenda of making ranger even better.

in any case, welcome and your comments will be welcome here.

Welcome! Keep your rifle handy; it's dark and there are huurtons.

We all love being Rangers. Ranger is too much work for the feint of heart or those without a little intestinal fortitude, so the ones who don't love it, don't be it. Speaking generally, of course.

We complain about a lot of things, but not about BEING Rangers. BEING a Ranger is fantastic, the best lifestyle one can adopt, raise your beer and cheer. Hear, hear!

It's all those silly city dwellers who like to play in the woods and the mountains and the swamps who really raise our fur (or scales, whatever). That and the glowstick wavers. Well, that and those silly Artisans. And Bio-Engineers; don't forget about them. And all those people who need to find the Pirate. Well, come to think about it, all those other non-Rangers really kind of get to me.

/wanders off to a corner grumbling about something with beer in hand.

Hi there.

I've been checking out this forum for a while, and I'm noticing a lot of people being pissed off that they are rangers. Where's the love? I'm kind of a new ranger on Chilastra, and I've been enjoying every second of it. Anyway, I just wanted to a drop a line saying, "Howdy' to all the other rangers out there. I can't wait to see what kind of delicious knowledge I can gather from all of you.

Wow, I didn't expect such a rapid response, espcially for just an introduction post. It was a pleasant surpirse.

I'm getting more and more into this ranger thing as time goes by. I find myself using my swoop a lot less, and just trekking with my mask scent and p-darts. I'm broke as heck, but I don't think that's such a bad thing.

I'm also very stoked to read about some of the unbuffed rangers out there. I, myself, like to go without buffs (except for mind buffs once in a while). I also like hunting without armor, but I think I can pull that off a little bit better as a rilfeman. Anyway, before I really get ranting, I just wanted to express my gratitude to those people who make this ranger community so unique. Thanks.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Welcome! If your forum name is any indication of your personality, you will fit in just fine .

You just came at a bad time. Most of us love being Rangers. There are a few people that complain, but, TBH, those people don't post here except to tell us how bad the profession is. I have learned a little trick for dealing with those people..ignore them .
