Please explain me, how to hunt with harvesting droid to get bonus for harvesting?
I'm MRM/ranger 4 0 4 0. Who should harvest for resources me or my droid to get this bonus? Shall I eat veghash fot getting bonus with droid using? Shall I group as well with my droid?
All this questions because I don't understand why my droid harvesting more than I do (even using veghash 32)?.
Thank you in advance.

Yourdroid will always harvest more then you if it is of high enough quality &the droids bonus stacks on top of the Veghash.
So to get the most out of your harvest you want to eat Veghash, preferably 30+, and group with your harvesting droid, preferably 100+, and have the droid do all the harvesting. Grouping does not affect the results.

I've found it handy to give my droid the 'stay' command before sending him to harvest. It wasn't necessary when I was a TKM, but since I'm a rifleman now it's very slow if he keeps coming back to me after every harvest. When he's in 'wait' mode, he stays by each corpse when he's done harvesting. I hang back and snipe, and he stays near the lair, going from corpse to corpse when I tell him to. And since I don't group with him, he never gets attacked.

OMG I say don't group with your droid. It just gets him spooked more offten and you end up having to store/call him to get him to do anything.
Oh and if you use /tellpet to give him commands you'll have much less problems with lag, and changing your target too soon.

I'm probably insane, but I always do group with my droid. It makes it easier to keep an eye on him and I also get a nice boost to my XP. If I see him shoot off I just try to /tellpet follow before he's out of range. He's not very talkative on groupchat though.

Hmm ya the finding him thing was my original reason for grouping.. drove me nuts. The xp thing, lol, I don't know why I didn't think of that. I group with my other pets for that very reason. Doh!

Fallen inlove with the harvesting droid. As a rifleman it is great to be able to stay in my spot and snipe the entire battle. I group with the bugger so I can keep track of im better. Also since I am an ex-ch I have all my hotkey macros set to use /tellpet and just transferred there use to the droid. /tellpet is nice for the fact that it cuts through lag, and it also doesn't spam an area.
I haven't tried using the stay command after a harvest but will give that a shot tonight.

Use a Macro so you can hotkey the command for Stay, and don't forget /yell for maximum range. This will freeze the little bugger for a bit. Hotkeying the Follow command will bring him back to you...along with whatever is chasing it...
Best bet, however, is a Probot. It'll stay and slug it out without running if it draws agro. If you absolutely must have an R3, having the DE add in a Combat Module will also make it stay, but takes away from the number of Harvest Modules. (You are better off with the Probot in that case, as it is easier to make and has 5 slots).

Well... I'm loving my harvest droid on TC-Gorath.
On Live I'm a Carbineer/Ranger so most of the time it's faster to harvest myself. I don't get the bonus to harvesting but the rating is low anyway since I have combat and trapping modules as well.
As a rifleman however, it's bliss.
Set up macros and key them for;
/tellpet "harvest"
/tellpet "follow me"
/tellpet "stay"
/tellpet "store"
Put in a hotkey for the slot in your toolbar where you have the droid and you can store and call it with one keystroke.
As mentioned, tell your droid to stay so that it will stand next to the corpse after havesting instead of returning to you. If you're big-game hunting throw in a /tellpet follow "target" and the droid will move in on your current target and follow it around until you kill it. A few seconds saved
A droid is much faster for a rifleman but all professions can benefit since your droid can harvest for you while you're in combat mode.
Now all we need is the ability to have a mount and a droid out at the same time. I know a mount can tank, unlike a vehicle which you can have out with the droid, but it's not much.
That's one of my main gripes. I want my mount and my droid out at the same time. it's just mor rangerish to have your mount stand in a camp nearby while you plug away

Can you not have a creature mount and a droid out now? As I have CH, I can have my full CL in critters out plus a droid. Is this not true for everyone?

It'd cool if harvest droids had a portable mission terminal in them for when spawns are stingy
