Thread: From novice scout to master ranger before the 15th?
Anyway best of luck. Oh and get that trapping food as well.

Unless you just want the Master Ranger title, don't bother. Power-grind a weapon profession up to CL 80 - you will respec to one of the new classes anyway, and CL is what is important for that. A ranged weapon profession will be a much easier grind than getting that trapping done. And if you group with some level-80 players and go hunting, you'll get like 2k-4k weapon xp per level 80+ critter, as opposed to 200-400 scouting xp for harvesting them. Just make sure you are at CL 80 by the 15th, no matter what you choose.
Go for it. I am doing it. I dropped TKM and started Master Scout andMaster Creature Handler last night and almost have those done. (3 more hours tops.) I have been harvesting anyway for my alt who is going chef... and now I am kicking myself for not going Ranger earlier. All that XP wasted.
But since I have pets to train up before the 15th, I won't have a problem making Master Ranger as well.
Definitely go for it if it is what you want.
Do it. When you have that Master Ranger tag a year from now, it'll STILL make you proud (at least I know I'll be proud to still be displaying mine).
It's very possible too. I had a guildie who opted for an unusual (but fun) MBH/Master Dancer template that decided to grind up from CL50-ish or so (she had some CM in there too) up to CL80 for the upcoming change, to max our abiltiy to respec in the new system. She did it ALL yesterday in the space of just a couple hours, with a mid-sized (not even full, not a spin group) grinding group from the guild. Granted it was mostly pure weapon skills she was grinding... but man, an entire profession in a few hours? That's nuts! Another guildie decided the other night to go for MCH, just to finish it off. She went from pretty much novice or a coupld of tier 1 boxes up to like 4444 (or maybe Master, I had to log) in a few hours of grinding with a full group.
