Thread: Paying my respects to fellow Farstarian Rangers, especially my students
First off, D'nara and Dariane. These two young ladies chose to let me teach them the ways of hunting and being a ranger
Both of you enriched my experience of a Ranger more than I can satisfactorily express. Being able to share my love of the lifestyle with you, and see each of you grow in knowledge and skills that escaped every other profession was a reward in itself. Then there were all the times we would go into the wilderness and could just stand in awe of the world we were in, and there were no need for words to share the experience. The responsability and duty I promised to you both gave me companionship, sometimes when I didn't want it, but when I dearly needed it.
Seeing you both reach Master Ranger status filled me with pride. Dariane as part of the opening ceremony of Mos Aga'me, and D'nara as part of an Antarian Ranger outing, of which I was invited along to. Seeing that you both were so successful at making a living in SWG from hunting made me so happy, because my faith had been well placed and I knew you were enjoying being a Ranger as much as I did.
Next up is Mr. Jasco Smlee. It has been an honour to know you, and even though I chose not to join your chapter of Antarian Rangers, I liked to think of myself as a comrade to you and yours. I thank you for your friendship and I thank you for taking D'nara into your ranks. It was always a pleasure to bump into you out on the plains or in the jungle.
Later in my SWG life, the double act of Ymegaar and Aerec. I didn't know Ymegarr long before he went away, but we became firm friends. Both master rangers, but our biggest adventure was not of the Ranger type, it was more of two wookiees in a YT-1300 striking a blow against imperial tyranny (and giving an imperial star destroyer one humungous repair bill!). Aerec was a great companian for me and we joined up for quite a few hunting trips, especially in the post combat revamp days, a time at which we had both been pushed out of the profession we loved; two disposessed rangers.
I'm writing this as a goodbye post, mainly because I expect most of the people I'm writing this to will be leaving. I have been unable to play SWG for four months due to computer problems, and I know I won't get back in-game until well after the NGE hits. I have said I'll keep the subscription going and see how NGE plays out, but the more I read, and the more goodbyes I see, the less I feel like going back into the game, lest I spoil my happy memories.
To everyone else on this forum, including all those I've had to fight with sometimes, I think highly of you all. Now all our battles have been in vain, we can all come together and remember what was a great virtual adventure.
See you later man. Been fun having these battles over the years.
Ill still be around when you come back so make sure you bookmark the swgranger.com forums once they come online.

You may still see me about if you hang around, I intend to try out Spy.
