Just doing a couple of the race tracks today, no real hope of getting a fastest lap badge, but I'll improve my own personal best. (BTW does our TN transfer to vehicles? I seem to be able to sling a swoop up canyon walls slightly faster than my non rangery race partner....)
Anyway, usual gripes about houses aside, but, rangers, grinding camping, by placing their camps in the middle of the racetrack?
Fairs fair, I guess, the players are trying to lock up as much xp as they can, but, ffs, all thats' going to do is get folk aggroed on Rangers. Making matters worse, I tried sending them a tell, they were afk.
Usually I'll go out of my way to visit a rangers camp to help clock that xp up, but am going to be going round these guys.

That is actaully a pretty weak/sad way to try to get xp, assuming that they are only trying to get xp...
All camps have collidable objects that can slow you down, so this is a practice I will not condone.

Exactly. It's bad enough smashing into a house, but you can usually just slide along that and away. But camps? Especially the bigger ranger camps which have nice 'nooks' to get fankled up in.
Wasn't in the slightest concerned about the camp lagging me, and yep, I saw it coming and went up the wall past it. Was more concerned that some of the more, uhm, competetive players will splat themselves into a field base, get stuck on the lamp posts, and begin cursing all of Rangerkind.
Just a tired old fart having a rant. Ignore me. I'll fall asleep soo

But as I said you can see ranger camps from distances you could not see anything else. As per in the movie, racing wasn't exactly a friendly event where you were only racing the clock. Now true the dev's have fashioned the races in a slightly different manner...still the RPist in me says if you were racing along in your AV-21 or swoop and half watching a movie in rl....if you even come close to the cranny's that can snag you inbetween the tents when you can see the tent from so far off...you don't deserve the badge lol. Sorry to sound so heartless on the matter. =P

Ranger camps wont lag ya. You can see them a mile off so you know its coming, and as long as you place it so they dont make contact with the tents everythign else you can fly through.
No, TN does not help you climb hills faster with a speeder. I'm still slow as molasses in july.
