I got to thinking the other day at work (very slow day) about the "l33t-sp33k ubR word" pwned. Specifically, I was wondering how it is pronounced. Whenever I see it, I either want to say "pawned" or I try to pronounce it like it is spelled. When I try the latter, it usually winds up sounding like "powned."
I was just wondering how all of my fellow rangers interpret this word (and I use the term "word" loosely).

The other thing I was wondering about (I was going to this in the Kashyyyk thread, but since this is newer, here goes)...
How do you pronounce Ubese?
- You-bese (long U)
- oo-bese (short U as in fuse)
- oo-benese (completly wrong like a guild mate of mine...sorry Vinoe
)

I was just wondering how all of my fellow rangers interpret this word
Thors Interpretation: "/addignore1337 12yr old kid"
I honestly dont get people's desire to use language like that when all it does it present them as spoilt little kids who craves attention.
Death to all 1337'ers is what i say, the world would be better off without them
Oh and Porned (brit) and OOOoobabyesse

Northern British:
Spelling = Pronounced
Saw = sore
Paw = pore
Law = lore
an aw turns into orr sort of sound so Pwned (as i interpret it 'pawned') becomes Porned.

Riiiiight.
Being from Massachusetts we would pronounce it Pahhhhhnd I guess. As in "My cah was pahnd by ah semi. I have no idear how it happened. I'm wicked pissed."
EDIT: Heh. It let the P word through!

Typical southerner, LOL
Up here, in the even further north, most things are pronounced as an aggressive growl. But we're cute and cuddly really. You've just got to know how best to treat us.
As for PWNED. I think that's pronounced "i'm a socially insecure, immature git and, while I WANT to say that you're ass just got owned, all the other uber-1337 say pwned"
UBESE ? Well, that's just got to be oo-beess but just to be awkward, what about going all European on it and saying oo-bay-say?
