Not on flurry. But I believe you may have better luck on Flurry Trade Forum, or on /chat jion RIN if one exists on that server. Good luck ~

short and too the point: many Rangers don't want to track. Many of us feel that it's a waste of precious hunting time. Consider this: I can harvest WELL over 15kof a decent resources in a single hunt. Let's say leathery hide on Dath is great. That stuff will sell for 50cpu.That's about 750k and it's guarenteed cash. I won't even go into how much I can make of a good shift of avian on a good planet. We're talking in the millions each time you hunt. Me personally, I sell for much cheaper (20cpu tops), but I'd still rather hunt than track.
let me just tell you: no smart person will accept ANY money only upon succesful completion. First of all, there are the scammers, who agree to pay and then don't. and then there's the possibility that i spend 3 hours looking and the creature just isn't spawning. That's not my fault. Thus 3 hours of my life....but no pay. Would YOU take a mission that you weren't sure you complete and that could take 3 hours to do? Essentially, that's like doing the DWB...but not as rewarding. The DWB is a challenge and FUN. Tracking is monotonous and boring.
I'm not on your server but let me tell you what it would take me to track for you (or anyone):
I'd have to know you well. Tracking over and over again is boring.
OR
you'd have to pay me A LOT. If you can't beat what I could make hunting, you're SOL. I'm talking double what you offered. AND i'd needyou to pay half up front. I keep that half regardless of success. That's for me taking MY time to do something that isn't that much fun. If I find it, I'd get the other half.
You're coming with me. I don't care what else you have to do, you're coming with me and searching the planet with me, at least to keep me company since tracking is boring mainly becaue of the monotony.
If you send me a /tell every 3 minutes asking if I've found it yet, I wil politely tell you to shut up. If you continue to ask stupid questions, I will return a portion of the money and tell you to find another Ranger. The workload of tracking an entire planet is monotonous bit of work. I except the company to be LESS monotonous.
Of course that's just me. I love hunting and that's why I do it. I hate tracking (except as a PART of hunting). Doing over and over and over and over and over and over and over again is not my idea of fun.
I'm just saying that the underwhelming number or responses that you've recieved may be due to the fact that many rangers don't feel tracking is worth our time.
I have personally turned down a 1.5 million dollar contract for a peko peko albatross, despite the fact that I know a few locations where they are known to spawn.I did so because there was no guaranteed payoff beforehand. and it's not cause I'm rich. I have 900k to my name. That's the most I've ever had.
Anyway, I hope you find someone who like tracking enough to do it for 500k, although I would suggest that you offer half of the pay upfront, if only out of courtesy.

Some of us play the game to have fun ... enjoy and aren't soo jaded we worry about being scammed all the time... its a game lol and meant to be fun... granted I'm not the richest Person on Flurry but I do enjoy the game. Oh! and tracking isn't that bad ... a nice break from beating up things that drop Wooley and Avain.

this is my opinion of what is fun. i play to have fun. which is why i don't track. as i said, i'm not rich and since i sell all my resources to a guildmate (Fredo Skins) for very cheap, it's obviously not my main concern.
perhaps you didn't get that sense, but as I stated several times in that post, I find tracking boring. hence not fun. hence i don't do it. I was simply stating other reasons others don't do tracking (i've heard several stories of people gyping a Ranger). I personally have never been gyped, since I have never done tracking. I once tried to cheat myself out of a Schuchle-Nef...but that's a different story for a different time.
as i stated as well I'm not the richest person on eclipse, with 900k (an all-time high!) to my name. money certainly is not the reason to play the game. i play Ranger because I like to hunt. The two combat proffessions I'm working on (BH first, then TKM) are designed around a role-playing ideal, so I play the game ENTIRELY for fun. and for escape. i'm in prison and i'm convinced that there's something to this theory that videogame are a form of escape. I've put my computer next to the wall, turned all the video options up and turned off the fans...i'll melt through the walls one day.
as for me being jaded....lol. mate, just read most of my posts. you'll find i'm perhaps the least jaded, most irreverent person...errr Bothan...around. I'm simply stating why I won't track and the possible reasons others won't. i'm just trying to be helpful. jaded? no. informative? i hope so. poinless? most certainly. lemon-scented? not this week. pink-furred? never, never again. wearing hawtpants? only by request.....what was the point of this post again?
and btw...welcome to the madness that is the Ranger forum...watch your step...I mark my territory.

In retrospect. We all play our own way. Lord knows Im Imperial. To those who are Antarian they find this revolting. Even though they have no idea of the person behind the keyboard.
I find Phenix to be Open to alot. But closed in personal style of play. but never have seen the YOU WILL PLAY AS I PLAY. like some.

I am definatly intregued by a Bothan in Hawtpants *smile* almost enough for me to make a char there just to see you in them <grin>. Okay so your posts are cute and maybe I was a bit quick to jump ... you seem nice enough... and sort of a good sence of humor too.... Hmmm Maybe eclipse will be my next server just to see a funny Bothan wearing Hawtpants .... Oh?? Do ya dance too??

you missed seing me as a pink "fuzzy wuzzy" as some lady called me.
As for HAWTPANTS, I have been know to pull them out at starports and /dance in front of the composite clone army.
