In my opinion the harvest droid was the last nail in the coffin for rangers, was one of the reason's I changed prof

My harvest droid (+76) also has one trap module. It can hold 23 traps of the same type. I normally fill it up with P Dart or Adhesive Meshes. I find it very useful when hunting larger critters and the droid fired traps hardly ever miss and they also do not take up any space in my combat queue. Also, note that my +76 bonus droid still harvests more than me as a +90 bonus Ranger.

Yep, that strenghtens my personal conclusion.... When you use a Harvest Driod of +76 it adds a 7.6% harvesting bonus to the Rangers base harvesting ability.

In other threads it is mentioned that one should not buy a Harvesting driod which has less that +110 with the reasoning that only the last two digits of that value counts as harvesting bonus. So if you were to buy a droid with 100, it would be equivalent to a harvesting bonus of zero percent (I do not think that could be right.)

So, a +110 would be a 10% bonus to your base harvesting abilities v.s. my conclusion that +110 is gives an 11% bonus and a +76 droid would give a 7.6% bonus... I think that sounds more accurate?

So, what is indeed the answer?

What is the non-specualative bonus formula for Harvest Droids?

Im fairly new to this harvesting for cash thing. And i'm wondering about these droids. I have never came accross a harvesting droid. Can both I and my droid harvest of the same creature. Also what sort of droids are we talking, modified probots, mouse??? Oh, and whats the going price for them. Thanks

You can NOT harvest from a creature that your droid has. You CAN put the harvest module into any droid you want (that can hold a module), BUT they need to stack to get a good harvesting mod. Therefore, the droids that have the mostmodule slots are going to be your better harvesters (I believe that an ADV R3 can hold the most). price varies for server, but a 'good' droid will probably cost you less than 50k.

I always liked my trapping droids. As a Master Ranger/Master CH i would send my beast in and have the trap droid launch mesh's at 60m. Usually this kept us weaklings out of danger. And the pets took the abuse.
