What if rangers get a tracking revamp.
For instance :
Normal eyesite = 100 meters
With tracking 1 u get
- an extension to 110 meters
- a tracking device with a kind of a radar on it, where you can see where the creature is atm.
Tracking 2 u get :
- an extension to 120 meters
- a tracking device with a radar on it and binoculairs that work and u can track creatures and npc's.
Tracking 3 u get
- an extention to 130 meters
- a tracking device with radar, binoculairs and u can track creatures npc and players
Tracking 4 u get
- an extention to 140 meters
- tracking device with radar, binoculairs and u can track creatures, npc and players and find out if they are imperial/neutral or rebel
Master ranger get
- an extention to 150 meters
- tracking device with radar binoculairs and tracking of npc, creatures, players and their faction.
The tracking devices and binoculairs are crafteable by the rangers self !!!
For camouflage :
Camouflage 1 :
- tissues for use in clothing of the lower planets (naboo, corellia, tatooine)
- group camouflage that work with a 20 effectiveness, works on creatures
Camouflage 2 :
- added tissues for clothing for Rori and Talus.
- Group camouflage effectiveness of 40, works also to be not seen of your faction
camouflage 3 :
- added tissues for Lok
- Group camouflage effectiveness of 60, works also on tracking screen.
Camouflage 4 :
- added tissues Dantooine and Endor
- Group camouflage effectiveness of 80
Master Ranger
- tissues added for Dathomir
- Group camouflage effectiveness of 100
camouflage effectiveness of 100 is the max and will mean you have a 80% change of not being detected.
Maybe it is a good Idea to give the ranger a weapon of their own to, like a hunting rifle. What they can use in hunting and has a bigger effectiveness on the damage to the creature and has medium to high armor pearcing on players. This cause it takes a lot of skillpoints to become a master ranger and u get almost nothing for it in return for hunting.

wow...first off, nice ideas. BUT, most, if not all of them, have already been mentioned in other posts already. The fact that more people are posting their ideas that are EXACTLY like what the rest of the board wants just proves even more how together Rangers are. If we can already read eachothers minds, why cant we get the devs to change us?

Try using areatrack and radar maxed out, fact is, your radar maxes farther than your areatrack. What you have proposed is a nerf. I don't need to "see" where the creatures are, if they are on areatrack they will be there when I get there. Besides, as the game currently works, you will be able to "see" into areas that are empty - sorta useless.
The best trick is to run or ride through an area, then see what you have spawned. I will ride in a straight lineNorth 500m, then curve around to complete a circle. Stand int he middle and you see all sorts of creatures.
Currently tho, server constraints are the main reason our areatrack doesn't work as well as it should.
