I just got an alt to my chef, I have bes in my guild so dont need to do that but I need a character who can collect meat as fast as possible, and also be a strong pve template for high level mobs.

Some of the Ideas so far have been.

#1 Swordsman 2404, Master Doc, Scout 3040

#2 Master Swordsman, Master Brawler, Novice Medic, Ranger 0030

#3 Master Swordsman, Ranger 0040, Medic 4440 (4 points left over for fs melee speed)

and a lot of other variatiopns of this kicked around.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Two things I won't do is go master rifleman or master ranger. I did master rifleman/ranger for 5 months before I became a chef and am burnt out on both.

Swords man Master Ranger comes to mind.

Now understand im not melee. But if you go master swrod and master ranger. with Novice medic. Youll have 3sp left. to get your glowie going.

And if i want to go to go after various things that rifle cant handle ill grab a Swordsman.

problem is i dont think the harvesting bonus master rangers gives over 0040 is worth filling 12 boxes for.

I am a Master Rifleman 0040 Ranger and My wife is a Tera Kasi Master 0040 Ranger. We both harvest extremely efficiently. I would think any Master Elite combat class with 0040 ranger would work well. I have a friend with Master Pistoleer and 0040 ranger....he farms inline with my wife and I.

p.s. I am comparing to how fast we can solo missions and collect meat alone without help.

I did masrter rifleman/ranger forever, yeah it makes good money, but to be honest i never used traps, rarely used camps, and seldomly used camo kits. juts wan tot be able to collect meat and kill fast .

current choice:master swords/doc 4440/scout 1040

Yep, thast mine as well. Tho, I dropped the Wayfaring, Trapping and Frontiering line to pick up some CH and Artisan. None the less. Its a great template for harvesting since we can heal our own wounds fast, stop disease, poisons and bleeds. Minibuffs and force of will make it qutie worth it. Its the best harvesting template IMO since its fast and self sufficient. Also, pretty good template for doing alot of unbuffed hunting.

unless you plan on buffing yourself, i would suggest getting just novice medic, and no more medical skills other than 1 box of Diagnostics, and the second box of First Aid (to cure bleeds).

then go either Teras Kasi Master, or the meditation tree of TKA. (the meditation is great for losing those pesky poisons and diseases)

or go Master Swords, kind of more of a personal preference. As a TKM, i can kill ALMOST any creature in game by myself, without an pet to tank. The only things i need to stay away from are things with Medium to Heavy Armor with 50% kinetic resist or higher. I can stand up to Krayts, and keep them off of Commando or Riflemen friends of mine so they can do the real killing. Same with Kimos.

My current template is Medic 2-1-0-0, Teras Kasi Master, Ranger 0-0-4-0, and some politician boxes (yeah, a Ranger Mayor, now there's an odd use of skill points)
