Thread: RIN for Kettemoor?

I can;t seem to find one. How do we go about setting one up?

-- Right click on your spatial tab.
-- select "join channel"
-- from the menu that pops up, look on the right hand side and select/highlight the "Chat" channel underneath "Kettemoor" (or whichever server you choose to create it). This menu is similar to the vendor menu on the Ctrl-V planet map.
-- on the left side of the same menu, choose "Create Channel".
-- In the channel creation screen, select the description and the channel name. (for both, put RIN.. you used to be able to enter "Ranger Information Network" in the channel description, but I don't think you can enter descriptions with spaces in the name any longer").
-- Also, in this menu, make sure it's public and unmoderated. You'll have to check or uncheck some boxes in the lower left hand side.
-- You should get a system message that you created the channel "swg.kettemoor.chat.rin" or something similar..
-- Your new "RIN" tab will in your channel box.
-- Now advertise on your galaxy trade forums, your galaxy forums and mention it to rangers and crafters in-game.
You can just tell them to type /chat join rin in their spatial to join the room. They'll stay autojoined after that. With all the new planet/auction, etc tabs that are now created by default, you may have to scroll over a bit to see your new "rin" tab. You can select that and type in your text/speech box, or click and drag it to another part of the screen and use the /rin command to chat.

Oh, also.. I think with the recent patch in August, once it's created it stays created. You not only used to have to join the chat room every time you logged on or got disconnected, but if you were the first one on that day, you had to be the one to create it.
