Seeing as how this might be of more interest to the Rangers andScoutsthan combat stackers, it is with great pride that I announce the second Azaki fishing challenge on the Ahazi galaxy. There is a wonderfull river running beside the idlyic town of Azaki, which would be the perfect spot to put down a camp with a few friends (or make new ones) and do a spot of fishing. Just think, you could be getting that survival XP while at the same timebe in with a chance of winning a cash prize! So strap on your pole and bait, and let the fishing begin.
Name of Event: The Great Azaki Fishing Challenge

Location: Azaki, Talus (5765 -1150)
Date: Saturday, October 9th
Time: Server Start to Server Reset
Purpose of Event: The Great Azaki Fishing Challenge is open to all players in the galaxy. no registration required. Just show up in Azaki on the 9th ofOctober and let your fishing pole do the rest. The object of this competition is to beat the current largest catch on display in the Azaki Fishing Resort. Those who catch a bigger fish than the current catch (currently 1.17m) will have their fish displayed along with a plaque. As a special prize for this competition the cash reward has been raised to 300k, if your catch is larger than what is currently on display please offer that fish to the resort vendor for 1 credit. should no one beat the current largest catch a second place prize of 100k will be given to the longest catch for that day. so even if your biggest catch doesnt beat the currently displayed fish you still have a chance of winning! All entries must be offered to the vendor by server reset of that day, winners will be judged and recieve their prize the following day. Hope to see you in Azaki!.

Man I love to fish, in RL and here. I can't think of how many times I've been in the midst of combat and came across a body of water and stopped what I was doing just to drop my pole in for a quick catch. You can count me in. Unfortunately I won't be going from reset to reset (my wife would have my hide) but you can count me in for at least a couple hours in the morning and a couple in the evening. This sounds like a great time. Hope there's a decent turnout.

OH of course, we dont anticipate anyone showing up for a solid 23 hours of fishing. But feel free to stop by for a while and do a bit of fishing, takea look around the town and generally have a nice chat with everyone that shows up. Dont worry about bringing your own pole and bait if people havent got one, there is a Fishing shop on site for all your fisherman needs.
Unfortunately I wasnt able to make it to the previous event, where my fishing champ title was taken away from me, but you can bet I'll have a HTFB out getting as many fish as I possibly can.

/raisehand me too. Certainly can't do 23 hours, and I doubt I'll even get the 4-6 or so that Septic Tank might get, but I'll definitely try and swing by, visit with some fellow rangers, check out the HTFB (only about 15k wilderness XP to go for Frontiering IV as of last night when I ran into Wurth over on Dant... were you having fun Wurth?! 
), and do some fishing. Who cares if I win anything, it'll be fun to see ANY other rangers in the game and just hang out having fun away from all those l33t d00dz. I was shocked and amazed and acutally quite happy to see someone running around last night with the "Master Ranger" tag on...

Knowing my luck, I'm gonna end up just landing a bunch of minnows... tho I have had 2 guildies now mention to me that boy, do they like my house decorations... kryat skull, bol skull, 2 rantoks and a gammorrean axe mounted on the wall, and my big "wall 'o fish" that's in progress. I think I need a bigger house to really go for that "hunting lodge" feel. Maybe I can start a business selling complete sets of fish from different planets... Dantooine down, next up Talus... hahahah
