Thread: Impromptu hunting groups

I was heading back to Coronet after dropping off some organics to a vendorwhen someone who was just picking off some of the critters near the edge of town flags me down. Apparently he is working his way towards Ranger and just needed the last box of survival to make Master Scout. He asked if I would join him in camp. We sat around for a while and chatted, which was nice. After abit we decdied to do a bit of hunting on Dantooine. We only made it through 1 1/2 lairs before he had to go, but it was still fun.
I like when stuff like this happens. Nothing planned out; just find some people by accidentand head off to hunt. Good times. Does anyone elsehere just have this happen very often?

running into random people in game and heading off to hunt is alway a fun part of this game. yes, this happens to me, and most of the time it tends to be with someone who is abit new to the game. usually it happens becasue i come across them while hunting and i'll stop to heal them on my way and maybe hang around abit and make sure they make it through whatever fight they are in (i never jump in and help fighting unless i am invited or attacked by the spawn). then it will turn into a small chat and i'll will invite them to my group and off we go hunting.

I always seem to end up with the weirdo tho...
The trandoshan who, thanks to us both having laggy connections vanished from sight, was showing on the group tally as being about 5m from me but totally invisible. Weird seeing shots come out of nowhere and drop a prey, then a speech bubble going up and asking if we're harvesting hide or meat.
The zabrak who teamed up with me outside Theed one night then spent the next hour asking if I was a jedi. No matter what I did it just convinced him all the more. Y'know, being able to hit stuff we were shooting at, dodging attacks, not crashing my speeder into rocks trees or buildings....
The guy with the RP stormtrooper name who suddenly went off on a rant about 'sploiting rebel scum after I used a passing ST group to bring down a herd of gronda. Apparently that's how we get all our phat loot, get animals to aggro on npc's and then loot the corpses.
I reckon there's far too much spice/brandy getting necked out there.
