Lets hear people hunting strategies. I know it will will vary between different Combat profs.

Since i use Rifles, i take a peek at the certain creatures stats. I look for the weakest link, i only judge between acid and energy. The reason is because well, SG28 deals cold damage, but lets face it. they SUCK. Jawa deals stun, but again, against a rancor it SUCKS. Berserker would be nice to add heat to my judging list, but since they are nerfed, i dont have that option.

So i look for which damage type the creature is most vulnerable to. Seeing as T-21 has AP3. if the creature has say 35 energy resistance, i can be sure that the AP3 will negate the resistance. however if the creature has 60 or above, i look for a better vulnerability. My DXR-6B does acid damage, alot of creatures have no acid resistance. so i have my DXR as my default rifle.

Now, as for posture. I make sure that i am in prone position to take advantage of aiming bonus.I make sure that my target is between me, and its lair, before i open fire.I keep aneye on my radar screen so that i can watch weremy target is moving.Secondly depending on its difficulty i have different meathods of disposing of my target. say for example its a REALLY high HAM critter, i will use aim +conceal shot (i know its cheap but it gets the job done)

If its a bunch of medium HAM critters i spam head shot, or strafe. ALWAYS have your scent masked, or conceal yourself.

Now my trap combinations, i use a cocktail of P-darts to slow my target down, glow-wire traps to lower combat defences, and flash bombs to blind my target.

If i am in a group, i volley trap after trap, strafe, suppression fire, and flurry shot

Well, being a Swordsman as combat class with the MR doesnt really give me a long list of ways
to aproach a creature, but theres generally a few things i always do.

1. Check resistance. (Since MS have 2 types of damage, i pick the one with lowest resistance naturally (Scythe or Sword vs Power Hammer)
2. Choose the HAM pool to go for. Mind on single creatures, or Health/Action with Area/Sweep/Spin if theres several.

Not the most advanced, but it works pretty damn good

Come to think of it, the Area/Sweep/Spin tend to hit on all HAM pools.
So its either mind, or all of them

Pistols. Check examine, see vulnerabilties. Equip appropriate pistol. Maskscent. Fire 2 bleeds and another shot. Peace. Move.

Sole creature will aggro. Pdart, shoot shoot, knock it down, move, finish it off. Harvest. I may use a droid to tank/kill so I can get more harvest in a shorter time.

Also, certain creatures seem to have vulnerabilities to certain specials. Gleaming Lantern BIrds drop quickly if body shot. Bordoks don't like stopping shot. Just an impression.

I'm a TKM. I make sure the kinetic resistance isn't too high, and then wade into battle and let the corpses pile up around me. If the resistance is high, I'll try to not get surrounded by more than three or four critters, and I'll knock them down. The difference in damage is significant when they're on the ground, even though dizzy doesn't work on creatures and they never stay down for too long. I usually stick to unarmed hit 2, after an initial unarmed stun and possibly a blind. Even if I'm buffed, I typically stick to hit 2, though if I may throw in a few hit 3's if the situation warrants it. Also, I use VK's when I'm buffed, but rarely unbuffed. And on those occasions when I'm in over my head (whick fortunately doesn't happen too often), I run like hell. Then, after a quick meditate to get rid of any poison or disease and to heal my mind up, I come back to wreak some vengeance.

That's pretty much it.
