Thread: Camps, and thier uses

Shobi-T brought up a good point in another tread about camps. Now we all know they don't do what we'd like, and there are suggestions out there on how to fix some of the problems. This is for people to tell thier story on how they have used camps in the past. Couple of things I've done with camps.
I mostly use them when out doing long group hunts. Friend of mine has an alt who's a master dancer/musician, and my main is a doc. What I'll do is put up a camp to rebuff everyone. Mostly do this during Kryat, gorax, night sisters, or any type of long term hunting. That way we don't have to run all the way back to an outpost to rest up. Yes, we know it doesn't help heal BF but it's better than nothing. Plus sometimes I don't carry enough buffs with me, but in my droid I carry the supplies needed to make them, so the crafting stations help with that.
I remember a long time ago, we (the rebelion) were forming up to launch an attack on the imperial HQ (Dark City). Again we used the camp to buff up, and get ready to go. We also used it as like a forward outpost. We placed small turrets around the front of the camp for defense. On a similar note, the opposite was happening. We are RAH (Rebel Allianace Headquarters for those not on Corbantis) were defending one nice, and the imperials moved into a corner of the map and set up camps to rebuff those who had died, and cloned.
For group hunts, or operations, you can use camps as a base of operations. Yeah, they don't do much, but what the do provide can be very helpful. Granted, some work can be done to make them better. I just hope that happens.

To me the high tech feild base has no real uses, if they made a camp/base, what we cud use as an advantage to ranger, like using the right resource u cud make a camp what enhances the doctors/entertainers buffs

The only benifits I see between camps are he crafting stations, and the size. Can't fit 20 people in a small camp very well.

For starters, and I'm sure this has been brought up before, I'd say give High Tech Field Base Camps a higher/ faster healing bonus and allow for the fallen in the group to clone at the HTFB Camp so they don't have to trek all the way back from their headquarters or city. Maybe give it a turret of it's own; not necessarily as high a hitpoint or damage as a Faction Turret but something to help ward off followers.
That's just my 'two-cents' anyway, even though 2 cents won't buy you much, they're still fun to look at because you just don't really know what to do with those two cents; you can't use em for anything but you don't want to just throw it away so you say, "Here. Here's my two cents. See what you can do with it. Maybe you have two cents which now gives you 4 cents. Still can't do much with it but it's a start. Anyway, there's my 'two-cents'."
