At the moment I am 4-1.5-4-4 in ranger and I have been hunting and harvesting meats etc.I was wondering from you long time Rangers how you come up with your prices to sell the resources you harvest. Is it dependant upon what the customer wants to pay?

Also what do you charge for your tracking services? Is it different per trip?

I'll leave the tracking question to others. But check page 1 and 2 of this forum and you will probaly see it.

As for the resources let the customers determine the price. Keep an eye on the resources when you see something you know will sell say a Wooly hide with high OQ/SR start harvesting. Then keep an eye on your servers trade forums. You will always see "WTB Yuletide Dantooine Avian Meat 50CPU".

Option 2:
Post in the trade forums
"Ranger for hire - what to hunt"

And let the doctors and chefs tell you what they want and how much they'll pay.

tracking really all depends on how long and what.. id say from 50-200k maybe 25k if its something quick

hides, meat, bone its all depends...

Low qaulity stuff to tailors and architects 10-cpu is a fair price. just pick mobs that drop a lot you will get 10-20k in no time its a fair price and helps keep the cost of stuff down..

good carn meat that is over2100-3000added together,in flav, OQ, pe a nice priice is 25-40 cpu

Good herb meat PE+oq better than 800 can start at 40 cpu and go as high as 80 or soo for something like 950+

Avain is the big one that stuff can go for lots find a 950+ pe-OQ that can bring in 250-400 cpu but even lower end 700+ can go for 100for low end buffs.

Wool, with 900+ OQ+Shock can go for up to 100 cpu,,

but average good stat hides and bone go for around 25-50 cpu lke lok leather, scaley, bone ext.. bacially you want to find stuff over 750 Shock+oq,, or combines about 1500 soo a 900+600 would be just as good

Avain bone is caped,, shock never gets above 600 i think thats the cap, if it does it doesnt go much higher a 975 oq + 550 shock would be an incredible avain bone.

Mallabitly, decay, and tough are all bonuses for hide stats soo a hide thats say 400 decay, 300 mal 900 oq, 850 shock, 20 tough could say go for 50 cpu.. but that same hide, with 900 decay, 750 mall, 900 oq, 850 shock, 750 tough would go for more like 75-100..

Now keep this in mind with combat revamp some armors are much more hide dependent, soo selling to high will only raise the prices of things.. Wooly in composite is not a big deal, its a small amount,, say lke 30 units for a helm forexample,, im going off the top of my head soo i could be worng but say wookie armor, that asme helm could have 175 units,, which would make the armor price sky rocket.. soo keep that in mind with pricing,, i hunt on a server and sell docs for the going market,, what ever they are paying, but i try to keep my chef, tailor, bio's and amrorers, happy.. by suppling for reasonable prices my wallet is happy, and there customers are too cuase they dont have to pay tons for the stuff.. the prices i listed are typical going rates,, but i generally sell hides to armorers for around 30 cpu and 50 cpu for great stuff.. which is about 25 cpu cheaper than average rates,. But also rememeber. get in good with crafters they will hook you up with stuff.. soo that money you didnt get you can end up with more value in goods and they end up with nice vendors with cheaper prices.. I also shop around. find good vendors with good products for good prices, and offer my services to them.. Some rip off guy, selling suits of comp for350-400k i dont care if he will pay me 200 cpu for something, i would rather sell to someone else for 30cpu that sells there stuff for say 150-225k a suit

ask around,, chefs, armorers, bios are always looking for good stuff and if nothing is around just goto yavin and hunt klikniks scaley, dath, rancor leather, or endor mantri,, what ever the birds that drop wooly, and sell to tailors and architects : )

Hope that helped : )

While JeCy's post is an excellent source of infomation, I would be weary about having set prices for reousrces. As with a free economy the prices of things fluctuate. That avian meat you could sell for 200cpu one week might suddenly drop in price to only 90cpu the next week, simply because the doctors arent buying anymore.

Instead, learn the stats to look out for on each of the resources, when you find a good one harvest as much as you can. You'll probably find someone else has done the same thing and updated a resource website and soon the customers will know about it. You'll find threads on your trade forum sprout up saying how much they will pay. Find the highest bidder and sell to him.

If you cant find a price you like, or you harvested right till the end of the shift and no one is buying at a high price anymore, then keep it. Stick that excellent avian meat in your house or bank and wait a few months. If you find theres a lull in the shifts of the meat, grab it out again and auction it yourself at the trade forums and let the demand for the product lift the price higher as the crafters try and outbid each other. You might find the price you get later is higher than the price you could have gotten before.

Of course the quantity also matters. You're a ranger afterall. You chuckle in the face of people who collect 2k and get bored. You can hunt better, longer and more efficiently than everyone else! You can collect 30k! 40K, 50K even. The more you have in a stack to sell, the more it will go for. A doctor will be happier paying 200cpu for a stack of meat if he can make 50 buff packs, as opposed to paying 200cpu and only being able to make 5 buff packs.
