With fronteiring 1 the skill box states that you can now find rare things when foraging. what are these mysterious rare items that we should be collecting? I have been foraging often for a while now, my friend for a few months now, and have yet to find anything that one would consider rare. If there is, please let me know and I'll continue but until then I guess i'll just keep getting onions and bugs.

"what are these mysterious rare items that we should be collecting?"

Mysterious is the right word. Unless you count one of the foraged food items as "rare", there are none.

Of course, they may be SO rare and SO secret that no one has ever said anything about them.

There's a bug I think many of us are familiar with in which we forage and get a message that says they threw away some of our foraged goods because our inventory is full. In reality when you get this message it throws away *all* of what you've foraged so you never get to see what you found.

I've seen it suggested that this bug is specifically happening whenever a "rare" would have been foraged. This seems to make sense, nobody has ever seen one because nobody has ever been allowed to keep what it is they found. It also seems to be relatively consistent with the numbers,as you go higher in foraging skill you get this bug happening more and more often.

If foraging weren't on the same line as camping, I might even resist climbing this skill line at all because at master I forage a "rare" nothing more often than a mundane something.

Melons, wow. I got some grub bait and an onion. The onion is not bad, and if fishing was not broken I would use the bait.

Maybe someday we can forage really fun stuff, like broken weapons.

I was hunting with my friend a few months ago. He was foraging for some stuff to feed his pet and he found a Mysterious Eye or something, it behaved kinda like a magic 8 ball or somethin. You select a question to ask it and it gives you an answer. He was only a scout though not a ranger. I cant be any more descriptive b/c after all it was a few months ago and i dont really remember all that much about it except i had never seen one or heard anyone talk about one before. It was pretty cool, dont know if he still has it though oh well.

I have a pretty impressive collection of foraged melons. I've found that I tend to get melons after foraging multiple times in the same spot. More often than not, the last forageable item turns out to be a melon (I usually get 3 or 4 items per spot).
