Anyone know a somewhat consistant place that the Albatross can be found? I have been searching Naboo for days now....Best I could find was 2 giant peko peko's.

I have seen them all the time between Theed and Kaadara. Just run along the top of the map.. just down from that plateau... and track for them. I have found them as far north as on the beach and as far south as near on the ramp up the plateau.

I have to tell you though.. they are ridiculously hard to kill. Resists are so dang high you can barely dent them if you fight it stealthily. Even trying to /concealshot it.. the dang thing gets up and flies 100m away in the blink of an eye and you have to run all over creation trying to kill it.

I really really hate hunting birds/flyers because of this "I can't detect you but I am going to run away from you anyway" behavior.

A Master CH / Master Rifleman could kill this I think, and chasing this thing down is the only time I have wanted to have a pet in recent days.

You don't need master rifle / master ch. It's just alot easier that way. I killed one solo using a jawa ion rifle because of the birds low stun resist and it only took me an hour conceal shooting at 4-0-1-2 rifleman. That time includes time running from town because every now and again the bird sees through your concel and hits you up for 2k damage a hit.

god why do the idiot devs put single drop loot in mobs that require us to group and then have an unfair system of looting where the guy who isa wimp and doen't attack or die and ends up closest to the target get the drop and no one ever knows who looted

At least on eclipse it's the north beach of Naboo where they usually spawn. I run into one every now and then (My house is in a city at the north beach), soloing them is possible with /concealshot but only with some luck (I experienced several times that half-killed Albatrosses vanished into thin air, they did not fly away. They were just 'gone' and after a short time I tracked a new, fully healed Albatross near me :/) and a lot of time (The last time I tried I was lowish in Rifleman with sloow firingspeed and it took me about an hour heh).

Happens when they move too far away from the lair for too long :/ It is a pain in the arse :/

Calculus,

I have spotted 2 albatross' directly south of Kaadara. One at the base of the hills and one at the top of the same hills, each within about 600m of the other.

I dont think that was the dev's intention, but thats why I mainly hunt with people that I trust. There have been times Ive accidentally looted something valuable and I immediately report it. Its just fair play. too bad there are a lot of ninja looters

Thx guys. I searched the entire east side of Naboo. My group started in Kadaara and headed east along the beach to the eastern edge of the map. We then turned south and zig-zagged to the south to Deeja Peak. We never got much further than 1000m from the edge of the map. I stoppped every 500-800m to track. I then started this thread and heeded the first advice I got. We then flew to Theed and rode to the east between the beach and the plateau. Then, I got hungry and logged. I can tell with some certainty where to find all the Fambaa and Rogue Fambaa you could possibly want...but I never saw an Albatross. We did find 2 Giants, but they were cake for my small group. I know want to ask if you guys think that one should stay away from vehicles while hunting the rare game? Are they so fast that you may miss a spawn? Or are the better becuase you can cover more ground and have people flank you to help increase the are that has been spawned? Perhaps we shall try animal mounts next time.

I've heard a rumor that pekos albatrosses develop from giant pekos over the course of a few days if they are not killed. Has anyone ever substanciated this? Is it possible that the reason I've never seen one--despite "living" just outside Kaadara--is that there's a large population on Starsider that hunts in that area? That would leave fewer giant pekos around untouched. I'm not confident that this is actually what is happening, but it's definitely intriguing.
