Thread: So, I prayed to the little god of cammo...

(TC) I was out on Dath today, checking on how some of the POI spawns were behaving. Compared to Live it was blissfully quiet, in a really busy sort of way. By that I mean next to no players, but lots of spawns of scary monsters. Lovely.
Anyhow, I ran about for a few minutes on landing, gathering the resources to knock up a few camo kits. I was fairly sure Enraged Rancors and the NS would just laugh at my feeble attempts to hide, but maybe I'd manage to avoice some of the spiders and other bitey things...
I got hauled off my bike by 'something', hit the ground hard and was just working out what to do next when, on the overlay map, I saw a big white arrow cross the map, trailing reds after it like a Chinese Dragon. Nest thing, it makes a looping turn and heads straight towards me.
Most of the red dots left. Some kept coming straight on. Matey drove past me, looped round to where the reds had leeled off, thru them again and straight back towards me. Even I managed to work out that muppet features was trying to drag hostiles onto me, for why I do not know.
I noticed something coming in from the opposite direction, fast. I quickly got rid of my maskscent, concealed and hit the dirt. Just in time to see matey come face to face with two NS rangers and a couple of big spiders. He was dizzied and off his bike, so ran back towards me, dragging the ladies with him. I stayed hidden.
About 5m from my head they ripped him to bits and sent him back to the clone bay in tatters. All the while am praying to the little god of cammo that it should hold just long enough... and it did! I wasn't aggroed, though one of the NS stopped and did the looking anim but didn't spot me

As for matey. Well, a couple of tells later he said that he'd been dragging the creatures onto me to 'help'. Apprantly he reckoned that I was AFKing /shrug

Yay for you.
My maskscent lately has been the pits. Days where I can be 64.99 meters from kreetles and it breaks. In the grid square with anything larger and it goes south.
May have to go back to camo, tho I dread the space the kits take up.

don't know but is maskscent broken on the live game, did a hell of a lot of flying and the only way i could get it working was injecting myself with drugs

Every piece of clothing I wear with the exception of my composite boots and gloves has +15 camo/mask and it works quite well for me. That and I drink jawa beer like a lush. I love it.
