Ok, so i've played this game since darn near release. I've been profs from pistoleer, to smuggler, droid engineer, artisan, doc, dancer, musician, bounty hunter, all my chars have most or all of tkm...(my personal fav)

A long, long time ago....(luv that line) I made a char on TC, after about 2 hours of patching I made a mast ranger/mast rifleman. I have to say, this was the most fun charactor I've ever played, and was instantly hooked. In fact, I'm considering dumping the template of one of my chars to pick this up. My question is this....Is it even worth it? with my trusty VK I can easily (still) make about 2mill per buff session...other than the waaaay cool camps, I luv seeing people flock to my htfc in the krayt graveyard, heh....is there any possible advantage to being ranger? Area track seems to suck to me, i mean you should (based on the fact that you're a master ranger, and thus know everything about a planet and its inhabitents, be able to track any animal based on it's probable location/dwellings...not just from 300m unless i'm doing something wrong. Can you make good money at this? I do have a certain lifestyle (mostly my r/l girlfriend's houses/factories) to maintain. I suppose harvesting a crapload of the best avian is nice, but dont wanna be stuck doing just this for money...lol

Seriosly, I suffered from cts clicking the blue froggy, I am in awe of every single mast ranger i will ever see on any server...a LOT of hard work and dedication to you guys out there!!!!

/hat's off

feel free to email me ingame <chilastra.aryolo> or just respond to this...if you're on chiliy and would like to take me under your wing, i'd be grateful

depends on what you are looking for. I don't think from your description that ranger is for you. There are nuances of the profession but it is not HUGE money unless you watch the spanws and work them. There are benifits to the class that are underused due to buffs but that is my opinion. I just picked the proffession back up after a 4 month abcense and am glad to be here. it is a small group of people and they are all proud of thier profession and have a high sense of integrity that you don't see as much in other professions.

I also think that Combat Revamp will make a ranger/rifleman move viable than it is today for things other than harvesting.
