Announcement for my main toon
and to add to that for folks here: it's just a scaling back from playing SW:G. I'll still be around for the CU stuff. While I might not quite post as much, I'll still be here from time to time. For the WH folks: I've been on the Hadishi server when I'm on EQ2 so that is why you have not seen me of late. I'll pop in every now and then to watch Doc loose his bufs and see the monkey-things incap him
. I also need to get my piloting up (I keep forgetting to do that :/ )

Yes, curses to them all. Take care Fred, and if you find yourself in need of a weapon on your visits back to Wanderhome give me a shout and I'll hook you up.

Which is in fact a very very good thing in EQ2. Those who play with me in SWG know that I don't mind dying - and do so often. That didn't work out for me so well in EQ2 where your whole group gets penalized when you die. My "whole group" (consisting of one other person) got quite annoyed at me at times.

Fred, I replied on the other forum too, but....you sure you need ALL your stuff? I mean...you're the one who convinced me to go to Eclipse to join the Antarian Ranger and now you're deserting me...well actually you're only deserting about 1/3rd of me, since I'll probably still see you on wanderhome and TC. lol. and in the CURB, of course.
(by the way, I'm just kidding about wanting your stuff)
(actually I'm not, but I didn't want to seem greedy)

Hehe, nice to see your atleast engaged in playing though fred. I just got too bored tbh. I had my guild with me but i dunno, i supose some things irritate people more than others.
Death for instance realy got to me. I also hate dying, admittedly i only died 2 times on my main (all in BB in the same session trying to get my damn soul back) but anyways not dying didnt stop me from being constantly in debt. The final straw was when id just quit a group who kept dying on me in steppes hunting 'crows, between the time i went afk to make a cup of tea, every person in that group had died, a good few times and i was stuff with masses of debt. This obviously didnt sit well with me already furious about the previous hours activities hehe.
That was push over the edge part but there were many things that got to me. Online only vendors, xpdebt, soulshard retrieval (fall into a bad place and you are stuck at 50% effectiveness for 3 days till it wears off), tiny citiy zones, 'OMG is this thing even going up xp bar' (xp gain rate), loading times between normal zones, combat downtime, elitest nature (only decent loot need masses of time and effort to attain, and that doesnt even mean the realy nice loot either, just the normal stuff).
Basically not my type of game. I can understand why some like it, but as a casual gamer i cant understand why anyone would want to go through the torture of 'playing' that more than i did hehe. Wow on the other hand i love.

In case folks don't know about this feature, chat works across games as well:
for my character Tsoth you would use:
/t eq2.mistmoore.tsoth say stuff here
you can use /addFriend with this as well.
The list of toons I have there so far is:
That is most likely in the order that you would find me on them. Tsoth is my main there and you will usually see that one logged in. On Wanderhome I use Frederick, incas anyone wanted to use that but /findFriend won't be able to distinguish between servers sense I used the same name.

Ya, but I think I'm beginning to remember why I ditch EQ1. I feel a tad guilty about ditching that game in a few short months and thought I'd try harder this time. I'm already falling behind in the little group I found and if I get out of the magic level range, I'll have nowhere to go but solo. EQ2 is NOT a solo game, no matter how they try to disguise it. It is a game run by monster-loving DM's, and to be quite frank I detest PKer type DM's. But then, you all know me (or at least some do), I hate to die, no matter how "painless" it is.
