i've searched a little but didnt really find out anything about this combo. If anyone has experience with TK/Ranger let me know how it is or point me in the right direction. Thanks...

I am a Master Ranger who just dropped TKM. what would you like to know about it. It works great with the exception that if you want to harvest fast you HAVE to be buffed.

Not bad. Altho without buffs and sometimes armor, you are mainly lunch. I watch guildies whomp on many things, while I stay 55m out, nailing 1k per shot of damage and never being hit, or buffed, or armored.
And then there are the beasties who are 100% kinetic resistant. Then being TK truly sucks.

Those high kin resist beasties are a pain, but ranger and TK go really well together. Rifleman may be a better combo, but if you like to be in the thick of it, you can't go wrong as a kung fu ranger. Meditate is invaluable and +57 unarmed toughness is like having a second set of decent kinetic armor without the HAM encumbrance. The speed and accuracy are great as well, not to mention our ability to knock an opponent down (and dizzy them if they're humanoid). Even without dizzy, knockdown is a huge help against higher level critters, especially if they have kinetic resistance.
I've been a ranger/TKM for several months now, and I think it's a really good combo. Novice medic helps, too, for when you're not buffed.

TKM/Ranger here-- actually, if you're smart you don't have to be buffed at all. I can hunt Voritors on Dant unbuffed, no problem with that template. True, I take longer and have to camp between lairs, but I have no problem with that. If you want to plow through critters, you can do it buffed (I can take on Enraged Bull Rancor lairs while buffed WITHOUT armor)
TKM+ anything is a good combo. It's very powerful. Putting it with Ranger really allows you to plow through mid-level critters and harvest a lot.

i enjoy it, though i have entertained the idea of switching to rifleman a few times as chasing after beasties who have one hit left in them is a bit annoying at times. but meditate is just too valuable and i enjoy killing animals with my hands.

As someone who fights mostly unbuffed I miss being a TKM. Right now ima master fencer/master ranger but im looking at going back to TKM this weekend. When you unbuffed and not a medic the ability to hear poison, disease, and wounds is just to much of a draw. Plus being able to do a powerboost helps out immensely. I know if your a buffed fighter the 300 to H/A/M doesnt seem like much but when your unbuffed its a HUGE difference.
As a master fencer though i have stun damage and I can just stand in front ofa beasty and laugh while i just dont get hit

300 to HAM? How on earth are you getting by with just 600 mind, Fodder? What are your otherstats? My powerboost gives me 550 to HAM, as my mind is set at 1100.

I have had this template for about 9 months. It works great and mediation is a lifesaver when you get posioned or diseased.
