Thread: Is it worth it? Need advice from the masters and veterans...

I am currently a master swordsman and previously a master ranger. I now have bumped ranger down to 0440, since I do not use traps or even camo, to make room for medic and fs skills. I was wondering if anyone thinks it would be worth it to drop all of my ranger right down to scout 4000. Possibly with the entire camping tree, depends. I was hopeing to use the extra room for either a doc or most likely a combat medic proffesion. I would like cm to aid my guildies, and would let me poison mind while head hit 3 away. Just some notes to help people make this decision for me; I do not ever trap or use camos, tracking is great and i love it but so many skill points, camping is awsome, but are those fancy camps really worth it for me? I just use them once in a while when our guild is hunting on planets like dath. Or will an improved camp kit sufice?

Plz help! Thanks

You're asking the ranger community if they think it's a good idea to drop ranger... hmmmm... NO. (IMO of course).

I think ranger is great and love it. However, if you're not having fun with it and would rather try a different profession, then so be it.

your question is really value ladden and makes it hard for us to answer since it's all up to how you personally feel about Ranger. I personally love the prof and can't bring myself to give it up, despite the fact that I want to try new things. As a solution, I'm working on FS. When I unlock my alternate character, I will be able to do whatever I want with him and still have my ranger toon.

It's a personal question so I think you'll have to look inside for the answer.

phew... well, what I say is "it's worth it if you think it is".

You've got other things you want to do with your SP allotment, if you'd rather do those things than be ranger, well, what's stopping you? After all, SW:G is a game, there are no RL consequences if you make a 'wrong' decision and, having been ranger before you'd be able to climb the tree more efficiently if / when you decide to come back.

Help your guild and stay as a Ranger.. or at least keep your tracking abilities..

Get on the militia and be able to ban invading opposition forces from 500m. Make huge amounts of cash/loot by tracking loot beasts like Krayt and Gorax...

Best of all... spot a Krayt from 500m and be able to tell if there is already someone attacking it.. priceless
