Thread: Horned?

I notice that the creature resource recycler (organic combiner) processes horns.
I'm a fairly well experienced master ranger, I've never seen any. Has anyone else looted these yet, or is this yet another thing that's supposed to be in the game but isn't yet? (Are they going to make it a mandatory component for Wookiee hunting armour too?).

It is a loot item you can get off NPCs. Usually in bits of 3 units. However someone in my guild recently looted 300 UNITS AT ONE TIME! I was amazed.
And is the wookiee hunting armor a joke?
It WAS a required component at one time...

No thank you...oh...I misread that
Horns are lootable from various dungeons throughout the galaxy (and always have been). The usually come in 1 unit stacks...

No not a joke, I know it was part of the components, quite an over sight really. I just wondered if they were planning to re-introduce things. How come they're lootable from NPC's but not actual creatures with horns? (Like Bols). Which type of NPC's is it?

al and i were talking about the recyclable horns thinking that it didn't make much sense to have those as an option on the recycler, yet we don't have the option of recycling eggs. wouldn't it make more sense to have an item we can actually get, rather then something that drops randomly?

I might be wrong about the NPCs - I was thinking the evil Ewoks on Endor. But it is possible that you loot it fromthe piles of junk in their POI cave?

I got the 303 units to be exact from a kunga that wasn't being nice to me... he tried to take my award for sporting excellence away.

The option to recycle horns is on the creature recycler, but it doesn't work. I tried putting in horn from both Dathomir (NPC Loot) and Yavin (Blueleaf Temple chest loot) and got an error message along the lines of "This recycler is set to recycle horn. You may need to try inserting a different resource, or select a different resource type."
So I went down the line selecting meat, hide, bone, etc. Got the same error message with all of them. Not that I really needed recycled horn, I was just curious.
About the eggs, I belive it may work if you select meat as the type, but you put eggs in and get processed meat out. I haven't tried it myself, but if that's the way it works, it would be pretty useless.
PS: I'm pretty sure /harvest horn doesn't work either. After looting the first horn, I tried it on a LOT of creatures and never got a thing.

I am sorry but everytime I see the heading of this subject I think of anaughty word....
DaveG, couldn't you change the heading to : "Paired contour feathers arising from head?" or... "Core covered by an outer sheath that is much like our fingernails?"
