These past two days i have been helping a guildmate track down the moisture farmer and pirate leader. Whenever i would track one down i would move about 200m in their direction and areatrack again to be safe, however they would no longer appear in the tracking list. This happenedthree times with the moisture farmer and once with the pirate leader. Each time they would appear between 300-450m away with aretrack and each time i would move in their direction they would vanish.
Has this happened to anyone else?????? or is it just some bad luck with respawns!?!?!

There is a 'hole' in areatrack about 100 - 150m out, don't know why, no doubt there's some awfully complicated technical explanation about server zones and magic pixies or somesuch. There just is. It's a known issue, it's been reported, bugged/ mulled over, chewed over and what not, but it's still there.
Personally I blame the pixies.
Open your radar out to 256m, also use your overhead map, once you have a direction for the target from /area use the other two tools to keep tabs on the likely area / little coloured arrows.
Oh, and I dunno if you're biking it or hiking it, but if you go on foot they seem to vanish less often. In my limited experience anyhows.
Have fun

Yeah this has happened before as well, what I would do is head back a little bit towards my original tracking spot. When they popped up again i would head more in one direction than the other. for example say they popped up to the north west of my position, I would head more west than north or more north than west. Then, i would track again. This has proved to be pretty effective especially when stalking kimos.
hope this helps
