I know we all have been on edge recently, but thanks to the level heads of a few Rangers, (and Obata) we've kinda reigned in ourselves and tried to be much nicer. Am I right? I'm not yelling at people asking for macros, I'm actually pointing people in the right direction. I think before I post and self-edit anything inflamitory.
So why, all of a sudden do we have 5 times as many people in here asking the same questions. I mean, I like the whole "fluffy happy fun-time" board mentality we've got going now...but I'm thinking somebody has a sick sense of humor and like 10 alts. Maybe the old JB kept repetitive questions away. I say we fix JB before every post on the front page is about a good camping macro.

Maybe if we had a nice BIG SIGN in L33TSP33Kpointing to the faqs, then so of these "rangers" would stop posting.
I am not saying that owen and calc have not tried, but I don't think these people know how to comprehend anything other than L33T SP33K.
I am afraid for the future of English.

I was kinda wondering the same thing. Because these posts would usually be on the scout boards for Hakai and I to pick through and not here on the Ranger forums.

I haven't been checking the Ranger boards every day (sorry), but of the 2 I saw today, I noticed that they were from Docs. Maybe the Doctor Forum has declared war on us and their chosen tactic is posting questions that push our buttons.

I think it's just supply and demand. Players have discovered that Rangers are useful to find animals & npcs for various Jedi-type quests. There aren't enough Rangers around. So enterprising players are creating more.
And when you've been offered 1 million credits to areatrack on Tatooine (no joke!) you can see why.
The macro camping questions are probabaly that they've now discovered how really, really boring it is a skill tier.

It seems to me like ranger 0/0/4/0 is the new FOTM. I see lots of new players on my server grinding through scout. I stop by their camps and ask if they're going for master ranger. MANY of them say no and that they this is only an alt character. They are typically doing it for 1 of three reasons I find:
1) money
2) to help their doc main toon
3) to help their jedi alt or jedi friends

/tell Xinea Time for new camp !;
/macro 20min;
(The 20 seconds extra for Disbanding and Placing a new camp)

If someone asks a question that irritates you, the best thing we could probably do is not respond. Then they post will sink down and they will have to actually search for posts that address the issue.

Which is why I created my own thread, as a joke.
