This is a post in the GCW thread, made by the GCW correspondant. It is a compilation of ideas for Rebellion Specific tactics, including stealth tactics such as the ability to dissapear from radar, wear armor of another faction, and the like. don't know how to make a clicky or I would.
Now, I have not really cared about PVP to this point, but as I approach Master Rifleman, I am beginning to consider it, especially when the buffs get brought down in the CU. From what I have seen, more than a few Rangers have wanted stealth tactics for PVP. It is my beliefe that it would better suit teh game to give these tactics to Rangers of any faction, not just rebels, especially since the rebels are the dominant force in the game atm, unlike the movies. This has nothing to do with what faction I am- if I was rebel, I would still want to keep some of our stealth orientation that thedevs have pigeonholed us into istead of slopping it onto a good percentage of theplayers.
Also, there are a few things in here which ought to go to smugglers, commandoes, and even bounty hunters (although I cringe to think of it), of any faction. Rangers are among the most useless PVPers in thegame- even crafters contribute more than wecan.I am not sure if the correspondant is going to supply these ideas to the devs, but I really don't want to see this happen, and have several professions cheated out of their "niche" in te SW galaxy.I have already posted- if you want to retain any sort of uniqueness in this game as a ranger, I suggest posting a little tidbit in there. regardless of weather these ideas ever make to the devs or not.

To sum up, radar disappearing will most likely never happen for any profession. Smugglers, BH's and other professions have also suggested their own ideas on stealth many times in the past, so it's not exclusive to rangers.

Ah, somebody bloody one starred me.
Yeah, I know it will most likely never happen, but I still think that Rangers deserve a little love in the CU. We have been labeled hunters, our only good thing that NO ONE else can do is conceal, and even that doesn't carry over to PVP. We have been called a "support" profession, but they won;t give us anything to support with. A little sneaking abilities are in order, I think. Sure, we aren't asassins like BHs, but we do know how to use the enviornment around us to keep safe. I am not saying we ought to get some over powered ability that will make us the best PVPers in the game, just asking them to throw us a bone.
And can someone give me five stars to get it back up? LOL, apparently the rebels in the GCW board can't stand a ranger asking for a little notice.

Ah, ok, read through the thread. See someone beat me to it, hehe. Myapologies for starting (yet anothers) useless thread on the ranger forums.I am gonna have to keep more up to date on these sorts of things from now on.

I think contributing to the GCW thread and letting them know your concerns and opinions about this subject is very important. The more visibility (no pun intended) we have to the general players and the development team for our ideas and the desires we have for our future skillset the better.
