Went hunting on Rori, Naboo and Dantooine last night with another Ranger. Had an absolute blast. He's rifles, I'm swordsman - which I think complements each other really well. He was raining Trap Doom down on anything that moved and shooting up the mind pool while I tanked and did the odd mind hit special. Quite profitable too. Made 150k each in various resources and I also got a whole load of animal bones to help out a struggling artisan (it was pro-Bone-o work 
/groan).
Long and the short of it was, The ranger bonus helped both of us out, ok, Ymegaar (the other ranger) got a 40% bonus to his stuff, I got 20%. That still works out that I got more than I would normally and also helped him out getting more resources to sell/use.
I am going to say "Rangers 4T(Rangers helping Rangers)W" about the changes. Saying that though, I pretty much only hunt with other rangers anyway, if I'm not hunting on my own.
GCW changes? Nothing much to report. Mos Eisley Cantina was VERY funny, with the comedy double act of TK892 and TK145 (SWG's very own Cannon and Ball) accusing people of being drunk and disorderly. I did find though that the new NPC's are TOUGH. I chased one Webel Woman all the way from Mos Eisley Cloning Center to the broken down Sand Crawler before she popped her clogs. I only looted 437 Credits too

Everyone who is worried about this patch should only re-read your post. Imagine if you were hunting real high value stuff.

For all Rangers out there, Master and non-Master. Do yourself a favor and find another Ranger to hunt with before the CURB. A guildie and myself went to Dathomir hunting Carn.meat. We were unbuffed as it was non-peak doc time. My guildie has played since launch as a Wook and is used to not buffing to hunt. And I have been non-buff hunting for 2-3 months now. We came across an enraged bull rancor lair and proceeded to pick apart every beastie that came out of it. In total about 18. Withe the bonuses we were giving each other, pulling about 1100 units off each of them. And thru all that, I was the only one to get incapped (just once). Combat profs, Shu-master swords, myself-master rifleman.
Every Ranger deserves to hunt like this at least once before the whole world gets turned topsy-turvy.

I went hunting with Kari the day the increases came out, mainly to test how much more we got.
Had a blast, we both made mega bucks.
And I am of the opinion the rancors are getting wussy. Myself and a buddy were dropping them like flies the other day, to include a lair on ancients we beat on (12 total). The only rancor to drop any loot was a baby who gave me a yellow Vibro Lance. And about a zillion units of bile.

Aye it was fun Xan, wish you coulda went out again tonight. Woulda made collecting that second 100k stack a bit easier on me. Oh well I got it done and wacked a few NS while I was at at. And yes JB i think Rancors are getting a wussier. Me and Xan were droppin em in30 seconds or so. Iwasnt really paying attention to his attacks but i was just auto attacking for the most part sincewe wereunbuffed. The hardest part about Rancor hunting now is finding them it seems. Since the last patch Rancor Valley has been absent of Rancors but full of everything else. You do find them just wandering around but they are way less abundant then they used to be or at least more spread out and not spawning in a general area like they used to.

for anyone interested :
armor - ubese jacket 77%kin,boots(same),gloves(same)
weapons - spraystick with a dot to pull, dxr-6 for attacking
traps-p-darts, glowwire, and just for giggles, sonic pulses
edit: food- gammorl,brandy,canape,
i was using flurry1 since Shu was taking the brunt of the damage. That way neither one of us was involved in combat for too long.
I am not sure about others experience with this, but i found that the health dot single pulled better than amind bleed did.

I've trained about 35 Novice Scouts/Rangers how to Single Pull, and tap lairs with out getting pwned since the group patch went live. Its really been great. And I made like 3x what I would have off a hot avian that spawned just after it went live.
But the really good Rangers I've met has been the best part. I've learned a fair bit, and talking shop is fun.

Grouping together is fantastic. You can really rack up the resource pile. I do wonder if other folks will realize how much credits you can make and Ranger will become fotm. Another possibility is that prices for resources will come down.
