Woah! gotta go get that back up there!
I am having fun being a shop keeper atm, I have three vendors selling Ranger tools and resources @ 1cpu.
I already know what I will use my final respec for, though it will be quite a way in the future.
I will go MR, BH 0/4/4/4 and SL 0/4/0/4.
I will be able to use any ranged weapon that does not require a specfic class and I should be pretty tough also.
I would certainly recomend taking just the combat portion of BH, you get a ranged knockdown, a dizzy and a blind and you can swop between using a pistol or a carbine or a rifle depending on what the circumstance demand. If you take the two lines from SL in addition then you get more defence and more general ranged offence and accuracy.

I am still Master Ranger/Master Pistoleer and loving it. I have a Krayt-enhanced rifle (forusing stopping shot and specials at range) and a medium power carbine and all my pistols. Except for bugged POIs, I am having no trouble having fun or staying alive. I have heard however, that Master Rifles may make you more effective as a hunter at a distance.

How is the ranger population looking on your server? Maybe we could join up some time ehh? Dunno bout you, but there is one thread on our trade forums, and so far there have been like 5+ offers for people with hunting contracts. Still making me kinda antsy. Ahh well, once I sell my vet rewards, I will be able to goo out looking for my R.I.S. armor parts. Only the best will do for my lekku you know what I mean?

Technically, i'm not a Ranger anymore. I wanted to do a bit of PvP, so i dropped ranger for a more PvP friendly template (Master Pistoleer MBH). I still hang around the Ranger boards though, and i even still fill some organics contracts. I know of a few Master Rangers around Lowca, but not a whole lot.
So, when (I would say if, but I know you will be) you come back to ranger...Just lost my train of thought. What the devil was I gonna say?
there it is! Ok, so, when you come back, what temp will you be? I heard that you could do mbh ranger, that seems pretty fun. But I dunno, Carbine is my first ranged profession in over a year playing, so I am not that great with them quite yet. 
Now, back to chores! My mother has a funny way of thinking. Summer break means "I have obtained a slave that can do everything I tell him to AHAHHAH" to her. I don't like it, so I gotta rush and get all this stuff done, and make it look like I spent a long time doing it, before she gets home...in an hour... /wink gotta run!
