Im sure this idea is nothing new but hear me out anyway....
Bare in mind this these ideas are in no way definative and have lots of wriggle room (so if you not like the idea but think a couple of adjustments could make it work, please feel free to chip in)
My idea is this, I want a Hunting Lodge at Master Ranger.... but this lodge is no ordiary lodge its special and has uses, like for instance, it has the ability to transport you (and only you the master ranger) to any other hunting lodge in the galaxy(thus giving us the ability to travel the galaxy in a fast and efficient manner, providing of course there are enough rangers to place a lodge).
Also i envision this lodge having a terminal with the Bio's of the many creautres that inhabit the planets.
Also this terminal will provide a non ranger with the names of any rangers currently online (this is ofcourse optional for the ranger, as is being searchable), so a non ranger can enlist the services of a any of us that are currently online.
Maybe players can post contracts in a lodge, and if the lodge owner cannot (or doesnt want to) accept the contract can pass it over to any of the other lodges
Also (and this one is stretching it a bit i think) maybe if the group a master ranger is in, gets in trouble and needs a quick escape, the master ranger could have the group transported to the nearest lodge (providing there is one on that planet), would obvioulsy be a huge cooldown timer on that ability though.
well thats my idea... tell me what you think, or make suggestions to what else the lodge could have (or not have)

Any sort of instant transportation is bad. The other ideas are nice though, especially the creature terminal. Maybe, since Area Track doesn't do anything for actually finding creatures, one of it's functions would be to give you an area where a creature will spawn if you go there (limited to common/semi-rare creatures though, we don't want people spawning Krayts and Gorax and the like at will)

It sounds cool, but I don't think it will go with Star Wars. Just doesn't seem to realistic. I don't recall anything just transporting from one place to another. Creative idea though, brownie points for that.

i didnt mean for a instant teleport (well sort of), i meant the lodges would have a private ship that would travel to other Lodges only and only Master rangers would have access to it. Most prolly right though, it wouldnt work. But a variation it could be allowing your HTFB to connect you to your lodge and transport you there and back to the HTFB (if it had an hour long up time like i would like)

That might be better, or the shuttle could take you to the ranger lodge for that planet. But, what about adventure planets, where structures would not be allowed?
