Thread: LOL help please
Again, please refer to the trapping problem post. But if you are currently a scout with no trap skill boxes filled, I do have some bad news for you. If your CL is currently over 20....you are pretty much screwed. Think of the trap skill as your CL level. if you have 10, then you will be able to trap CL 10 creatures (prob slightly AND I MEAN SLIGHTLY above). Eating Dweezel is a good idea but you are still going to be capped at about 30 - 34 CL critters. So.....worst news you will ever want to hear. (and remember, this is only if you have a mid to high combat level.) I are going to have to surrender some points in order to drop your combat level so you can start landing traps for decent XP. And try to group with people whose CL is around your own low one. when you do, dont fire your weapon.....just throw traps. your trap XP will be split (per ratio) with your weapon XP. This means that if you fire your weapon even just once......Your weapon now gets 90% of your XP, leaving trapping with just 10%. Example..... I throw a trap on a CL 80 critter. I get roughly 500 combat XP, and 5,000 for weapons/trapping. If I do not fire the gun...all the 5k goes to trapping. But if I fire rifle just once.... I get 4500 rifle XP and 500 trap XP. If you have your token respec left, I would suggest using it. But please dont respec ALL of ranger.....get master scout up to novice ranger....then grind your way from there. There are things that you need to learn about traps and hunting as a ranger that will be invaluable and if you respec all of it, you will have the title.... but still not be a master ranger
