I read about the sonic pulse trap, "An AOE trap" I said to myself. With some of these I can finish trapping off in no time.

I take the time and find a master ranger who makes me some schematics. I do a factory run of about 500. I get my email saying factory is done. After jumping for joy and getting my pulses out, I hear in TS that one of the grind groups has a Piket spawn with something over 50 pikets in it. Level 81 Pikets at that. So off I go to join up with them.

I get there and almost cry when I see all of the pikets, everyone clears out, I pop my dweezle, target one of them nearest the middle of them and let fly with my pulse.

No seeing how this was before i read the Ranger bug thread, I thought I knew what to expect. Heaps and loads and bunches of trapping xp.

Needless to say I was not pleased. But then I thought about it and figured it out. It would make the trapping grind for ranger too easy for them to work. So by breaking the sonic pulses, it keeps the ranger population lower, and prolongs the grind to MR. Either that or they broke it and don't care, because after all, nobody buys this game to be a ranger, just look at the commercials, everyone wants a jedi or a BH.
