I have been trying all day to join chat channels across different servers in SWG but am halted dead in my tracks since everytime I type in /join sunrunner.chat.Ranger it gives me the "you must be invited to join a group!" onscreen message. Am I missing something? I keep reading through the Chat thing that TH posted about way back when... its not helping me at all.

Please tell me I'm a newb and doing something so simple wrong. I dont care anymore.. lol Lil help please?

Also, I would love to get a chatroom setup across EQ2 and SWG. Any tips or advice?

/join is the command for joining a group.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

/join is what joins a group. I think the document posted was more for EQ2.

/chatroom join is what joins a chatroom.

It hasn't been working for cross server chat rooms as advertised, though.

Apparently with this chat bug, it won't keep the room. I logged on today and had to re-create the room. If I am doing something wrong, please let me know.

when the rin was first created on naritus, i remember having to re-create it each day. but that was when they had server resets every night, so i'm not sure the same would apply now.
