on my bio engineer character im thinking of droping fencer and replacing with master ranger this would help with all the maskscent things and camuflage and traps for getting away from creatures that turn bad against me, my other idea was MBE, Smuggler 0040, CM 4400. any ideas?

Dont go with Ranger for it. My wifes a BE. And what we did with her is to give her explore 4 + mask scent clothing + jawa beer for when she's sampling.
Maybe go to Master Scout if you have the points for a boost. Or find a Ranger to go out with you when your sampling so he can conceal you. Which is somethign we do when shes sampling really high end nasty beasts

Ranger 4004 would give you the traps and the camo you need. Ranger 4044 would also give you the ability to tag along with hunting groups and harvest. I don't think this is a terribly bad idea - mostly because of the camo mods. Traps have a relatively slow throw timer on them so they're not always great in a pinch. Moreover, our +root+ trap (adhesive mesh) doesn't work right now and so you'd have to use the p-dart which is only a snare - mind you, a very good snare.
Play around with templates, but Ranger 4000 at the very least will come in very handy. You can get an additional +25 camo from BE clothing (you know that) and tapes. Also, look for a chef who makes terrata or jawa beer - these help your camo and mask scent respectively.

There are Kash camo's but you need to do a quest on that planet to get the schemmatic. It starts in the Ryatt Trails.

i think its more likely im going for MBE/Mranger and abit of medic. it seems the best as the field bases have crafting stations which would be good unless they r bugged

You can still use camo kits even if you're not certed to craft them. So have a ranger friend craft some Dath kits for you and you're good to go.

You may need to be a Master Ranger to even get the quest (not sure, but you need to be Novice Ranger for sure).
You get the quest from the Trail Master, (inside the Ryaat Trail entrance).
If you need Dathomir Camo Kits (and are on Valcyn) I can accomodate. I made a 300 kit run before I dropped ranger. Each kit has 14 uses.

Word of warning-- Kash camo kits do absolutely nothing right now. They don't work in any way whatsoever. Creatures don't break it, they just see right through it and attack as normal if you get too close. When I first got my schematic, I thought, great-- I can run down webweaver without a hitch now. Didn't quite work out like I'd planned.

24 points to FS skills (for a padawan, with Survival 4 of course), MBE, Ranger 4000 and Creature Handler 0404 lets you crawl amazingly fast. Plenty of camo, jawa beer and grouping with a CL80 group and you can crawl over most of Dathomir to sample to our heart's content. Really happy I finished the village and can make pets again instead of grinding!
