Ok, first i'd like to clarify:
- I left the game because of what SWG had done post-CU to ranger and Droids (other char is droid engineer).
- They haven't (from what i've seen) changed this and both profs are as screwed as before.
BUT
I re-activated my account the other evening (whilst drunk I admit) and I chose to have a go at the new creature Handler system in combination with ranger and it rocks !! I can actually hunt solo again, I wander out into the middle of nowhere, hunt, train and camp. it's fun again.
Ok, so ranger abilities are screwed and will prob be well down on the list for revision (after jedi and BH several times I suspect plus the release of several marketing-base expansions) but I really dont care.
So I'd like to say hello and welcome back to all the other rangers out there and fully embrace the fact that no matter how hard SoE try to put me off ranger they have failed.
It's good to be back, just wish I hadn't surrendered my master box before quitting before as gonna take ages to get that 1 mill scout xp again

Welcome back.
And go to Dant for one afternoon and get in a hunting group. I hate them but you can rack up that master box in no time. Then you can get back to your solo play and enjoy yourself again

Welcome back, its good you are enjoying it! I am really enjoying CH myself under this new system.

Na, you'll get that pritty quick, Ifinnished all my scout xp branches then maxed the master boxbefore i finished trapping. ATM I'm about 3/4 through trapping 4. Kinda sucks im only a "Master Ranger Select", lol.

Well, I went on my 1st group hunt last night as a novice CH, hunting CL80 sharnaffs and gronga's on Coro around my guild's home town and earnt nearly 500k in about an hour and a half so not bad going
Does help that they were CL80 and I was CL50'ish ... even got my 1st Creature Handler box !!
it was good group hunting but much prefer just wandering with just me and Graham (my Wrix) and seeing what i can find ... what does everyone else tend to do?
I'm going hunting with a mate tonight though who is master CH/Master Ranger so we are just going to explore.
