Thread: Player correspondent: i apply to the position
Player Correspondent Opening: Ranger
- Are you knowledgeable about the Ranger profession?
...sorry, i try to play this profession since 2 years.
- Are you a community leader?
- Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
- Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?
The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Ranger Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.
Do you know the sysiphus myth ? "The gods had condemned Sisyphus to ceaselessly rolling a rock to the top of a mountain, whence the stone would fall back of its own weight. They had thought with some reason that there is no more dreadful punishment than futile and hopeless labor" The ranger correspondent is like sysiphus, rolling all the profession issues to the devs that let them fall back to the forum , endlessly..
Some things that you need to consider when applying:
- Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen with long time involvement.
That would be (the single line) a good progress.
- Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.
I'm extremly positive.
- Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.
- Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.
After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent.

We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.
You surely need a lot of help. tell us how many more years you need to highlight the relevant issues and start working on them.
We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.
If the dev suffers of blindness we can write in braille so they can finally read what are the profession top issues.
