Thread: a Ranger returns
/walks into camp and looks around, grumbles to self something about how nothing seems to have changed
/finds nice quiet corner to drop his pack and begins rummaging
/pulls out a scatter pistol, chuckles bitterly to self ‘what a waste’, and throws it into the river
/pulls out something that some less scrupulous people may recognize as tools used in spice production, looks it over and throws it in the river
/pulls out slitherhorn, blows in it as a result it makes an obnoxious noise, as a result immediately chucks it
/pulls out stack of advertising posters, walks over to fire pit and throws them in, mutters to no one in particular at least they’ll keep us warm for a minute, which is better than the few sells they generated
/pulls out food crafting tool, looks it over, grumbles, a little too loud for those nearby, something about a nephew that may like to play with this and stuffs back into the pack
/pulls out a T21, smiling states that ‘this will be very useful’ and carefully leans it against a tree
/pulls out some funky smelling clothing, grins again as he put them on
/begins rummaging in pack again muttering something about a hat, then a look of realization crosses his face and mutters a question to no one in particular about all the tailors in the universe and their ability to make those ugly winged pant things but why can’t anyone make a decent hat?
/pulls out a case of Jawa beer and bowl of rice balls, places them on a flat surface kind of in the center of the crowd and says ‘Is thisa party? I brought some refreshment! Cheers!!’ then retires back to the tree with his pack he sits down and smiles for the first time in a long time!
Ok, enough role playing from someone who doesn’t role play very well.
Since the CU I’ve tried a number of different professions, some were more satisfying than others. I just couldn’t drop several habits, lurking in the Ranger boards was the top one, but even more annoying was trying to mask scent and area track all the time.
I finally gave in and have started the journey back to Master Ranger; it just seems to be the only profession that I truly enjoy. Last night I picked up novice scout. It shouldn’t be long before I master it, then I’ll be working on Master Ranger, but honestly I don’t care how long it takes, last time around it took about five months to master ranger. This time I don’t care if its one week or a year, as long as I’m having FUN.
