Thread: can i kill faster IF ?

i drop ranger and keep hunting 4 in scout and have 2 master combet prof. and still beable to harvest 300 units with veghash per kill or is kepping ranger better ?



PS: i have had a master ranger for 2 years never had 2 combat prof. so i need help here TY

Keeping Ranger is better. A Master Ranger will more than double the harvest you can generate at Hunting 4 in Scout. I'm a Master Ranger / Master Rifle (no other combat professions tossed in) and no template can drop creatures at twice my rate to make up that difference.


On the other hand, if you don't love it, just drop it.

I think the biggest thing to consider is whether you hunt alone or with friends. If you hunt with other scouts/rangers, keep master ranger. If you primarily hunt solo, adding more mad combat skillz might be better for you.

I would go with the double elite combat profession. A group with 8 level double elite combat professions can roll missions so quickly they will not miss having a Ranger one bit.


Also, some templates open up possibilties not available as a Master Ranger. TKM + Master Rifleman let you hunt in your favorite clothes with the equivalent of 6000 battle armor and defense mods higher then Master Ranger + (Any combat class) while using a rifle.

I've been thinking of dropping Master Ranger/Master Scout for Master Combat Medic and Pistoleer 0/4/0/4 to compliment Master Rifleman. I plan on finishing Luck 4 1st, then seeing what else is out there.


Knowing myself, I'll more than likely be back to Master Ranger sooner rather than later, but I still have my token respec....


Not sure if I'll have to grind Ranger out again or if they give us another respec come back that way. I can't imagine Mastering Ranger is too difficult now that we only have Scout and Trapping xp (Wilderness Survival xp was what took me so long originally).
