Talk to the trail master at the start of the Rryatt trail. He gives you a list of creatures to hunt and kill. Once you've finished that quest, you get the schematic for the kits. At this point, it's more of a status symbol than anything else, because I've never noticed it working, either.

Edit: I'm not certain if it's a ranger-only quest or not; it probably is, but I don't actually have proof....

yep, ranger only, the above posts have it correct for the where to and why for's as well but the critters dont do a check for it, so if you have the kashy camo kit applied the creatures that aggro will stillhave a go at youand the kit will remain applied...... a shame really, it would have been a great tool for solo running the trail guide quest on Ryatt trail..... webweavers down there are nasty things... so inspiration buff and mask scent is the go

my non-Ranger toon used some Kashyyyk Camo that Draknev made me once, and i was able to walk past the Spiders on the webweaver level, and even past some of the creatures in the Shadowedland. The Gotals broke the camo everytime though. (silly goat-men)

The only place that I've found where the kits work reliably is the lower level of the ryatt trail against the mynstingers. The critters are pretty agressive stalkers and apparently have a very wide detection range. For example, if you stand just outside the big clearing where they all gather, you will see them gradually start creeping towards you. But, if you camo your group, the creeping stops. This is really useful for the kill so-many mission where a decent sized group can handle 2 or 3 but not the entire herd.

Anyone know the ingredients? I haven't done the quest but I have a few packages of resources around and would hate to sell them by mistake.

Kashyyyk Carnivore Meat (35),

Kashyyyk Leathery Hide (40),

Kashyyyk Animal Bones (25).
