I was waiting on the last 2 boxes of trapping until I could train the master box.With the help of noise makers and phenancines I was able to do it in about 5 hours hunting bols. The terrain negotiation is a welcome bonus coming from melee profs. Now its time to start the BH grind, I hear investigation is a pain.

Just wanted to say hello and say that I now wear my Master Ranger title with Pride!

investigation xp eh?

here's some tips:

1. as suggest, slicing factional base terminals gives investigation xp.

2. get an inspiration buff. every little bit helps.

3. keep in mind that now every BH mark drops some sort of loot. so maybe you'll end up with something nice you can turn around and sell for credits.

4. hopefully you're a . Rodians get a 10% BH xp boost. so if a human without an inspiration buff gets 1k investigation xp for completing a mission, a rodian with inspiration buff would get this:

1000 xp (base) + 10% (inspiration buff bonus) + 10% (species bonus). so you would get 1000 + 100 + 100 = 1200 xp.

5. get yourself a really nice High Capacity Scatter Pistol once you're at MBH. these can be brutal weapons when they are stat capped. the Proton Carbine is a fairly nice piece of equipment too, and is very easy to get. it only requires one Rryyat Trail mission.

6. Cap your Investigation xp before you train a new box. Since Tier 1 BH missions are always on the same planet as the mission term, these are the cheapest, and quickest missions to complete. so get as many of these in as you can before you train.

7. Kaadara is your friend. They have BH terms just outside the starport, and they have all levels of SpyNet Operatives close by.

Iconic professions. Ok. Chewbacca was a Scout. How come that didn't stay?

When you think about it, aren't almost all of the original professions iconic? You can find something on each of them in the Expanded Universe.


I miss being a Ranger. It was more than a profession, it was a virtual way of life. It wasn't for everyone. But those who took it up became family.
