Thread: one stop ranger shop...

im comming close to getting novice ranger so i guess its time to start this.

im will be trying to set up the one stop ranger shop.

A place where you can find everything the modern ranger needs (foods, weapons, droids etc)

But there would alse be a few vendors offering ranger stuff (resources, camo kits, camps (if they ever become useful again))

What im asking is this.. would you make the effort to come to a shop that has everything under one roof, or would you just pass it up ?!?

Also, any suggestions what i ABSOLUTELY will need to put in my shop?

I do sell the occasional camo or trap, but mostly I jsut sell my creature resources that I have extra from an order or something, jack the rpices up and if it sells then thats great, if not no big loss. Don't expect to get rich doing it but I have had some success at it

Actually there is one shop like this that I know of already on Corellia on the Naritus Server called Ranger Gear near the SC Mall. It is a waypoint on the planetary map if I recall. That's how I found it.

I've bought a few things there and he seems well set up.

You could check him out for some suggestions.

During my more inspired days when I had more time on my hands, I wrote a Guide to Ranger Vendors to help stir up some ideas for the Ranger entrepreneur.

Here is what I suggest:

Satchels

Cargo Pockets

Travel Packs

The packs with a few Scout / Ranger bonuses (I think it's the high tech pack, it's triangle shaped and black.)

Dweezle

Veghash

Stims

Chum bait

Fishing poles, high and low % effectiveness

Trapping / Camoflauge skill tapes if you ever come across them

BE'd clothing

Weapon Powerups

I am thinking about coming back to SWG but back in the day I ran a Ranger shop on Farstar and used to swop notes with Cryos quite a lot. There are a few threads kicking around if you go back three months or so, including one that has pics of Ranger vendor decor!

If I can be of service, do let us know and again, Cryos' FAQ which I've commented on in the past is a good place to look.

its slowly beginning to dawn on me that ill need to use my 2nd account for this aswell

ive been a master merchant before (and liked it) but im not sure how to complement that toon.

im thinking master artisan/master merchant. that leaves me with another 110 sp to play with.

now i can go another crafting profession, but i dont really want that since itll take too much time away from

actually rangering...

i could go a combat prof... or some doc to make stims.... choices choices

I want to thank everyone again for the replys... theyve been really helpful

You'll definitely need an alt. If you want to be able to still do things as a Ranger anyway.

My alt was a master merchant to give me the total flexibility required there and I was working on bio-engineer in order to be able to provide BE pets and tissues. The tissues were to supply chefs and tailors who in turn were supplying me with foods and BE clothing.

My alt is a BE and it works pretty well. I'm able to make Tailor tissues and have a tailor make clothing for the ranger cabin. I'm also able to craft chef tissues and put those towards veghash and dweezle. I'm not sure about SP, but you only need BE 0404 to craft all the tissues you'll need. I'd compliment that with either some chef or tailor.
