I have been using vehicles on TC since they were placed there. I am not a ranger there, but, I will say that I still need terrain neg to hunt. I use maskscent everytimeI get on my bike.

Do you know what vehicles do? They remove some of the need to use shuttle and allow (as previously stated) non combat professions a chance to see the world. There are also rumors that NPC posture change attacks can know you of your vehicle, so camo can avoid that. You may stillwant camo to do your everyday hunting and the big game hunts make it a necessity. You can not attack from a vehicle, so they will have not effect on hunting. I personally do not think that vehicles will have a very big negative impact on me since they will allow a group to travel at the same speed, and they will get me to my hunting grounds much more quickly. So, they will make me a better ranger as I can hunt more. Basically I like them and give them my stamp of approval.

Ditto.

1) you cannot fight while riding your vehicle, I rarely shoot on my mount unless im being aggroed.

2) This, like calculus said, provides a way for the non combat people to see the coutryside, a thing that we take for granted.

3) This is star wars and not "fantasy" the vehicles are an integral part of the story and universe.

4) They are just darn cool

"NPC posture change attacks can know you of your vehicle" (emphasis mine)

I presume that was supposed to be knock you off.

Personally, I will not pass judgement on vehicles until I see them in action on Live...

  • I do not think they will have a large impact on my gameplay, beyond the initial travel phase.

Once I make it to the hunting grounds, its back to foot travel for me and on with the /maskscent, and Terrain Negotiation.
