Ranger Archive

I used to get recourses that were a high decay resistance from the animal I slaughter. Now whats the point, I get no experimental effectiveness from crafting traps anymore...e.i. It used to add a bonus for crafting traps with high decay resistant materials) I would harvest things I could use and I assume the recourses I sold (also high in decay resistance) were going to fellow scout/rangers. So whats the point now of harvesting to help myself and maybe make some money in the process?

My other issue not related to the ranger forum, but maybe some can relate; Im a rifleman and ranger w/ a hint of medic... I rely on traps and /takecover indifficult situations... now that my traps are complete garbage and whenever I use /takecover It freezes my running and walking speed down to slow motion. I log off, log back on and Im frozen, leaving me discouraged to play for the day.

I have spent a considerable amount of time (I dont have a lot of time which is free) making my way to rifleman/ranger, everything was going good up untill about a week ago...

With my style of combat, that I had been using since I got the game, I was an affective hunter, but nothing to brag about in pvp (which is not my concern). No with my situation my reasons to log in any more have decreased. I almost have to go overt and get troops to be worth a crap anymore. going solo against a mod of white npc'sWILL get me killed, if I use /takecover, because when I come out of it I move like a snail.

Im frustrated.....I thought the game was just fine out of the box, seems like with every patch my player gets worst...

if you have any advice for a rifleman/ranger Ill gladley listen

I feel your pain honkimon! I to was a Master Ranger Focused on Riflemen. Last night I got so fed up with it I surrendered all my rifle skills. It's just not playible unless you are in a group getting NO rifle XP.

My only suggestion is to take a break from your main charicter. Go be a artisan, see what that is like for a while. When you get sick of the bugs there, come back and hunt some.

Well i love my ranger/rifleman, just hard time to get cash together, wish we could get more missions so i didnt have to run into town every 2 explorer missions. Anyway i think, i will keep my rifle skills hoping they will fix the warping thing, i had no problem with it until last weekends patch, and yesterday it gone even worse.

Where running thru a area north of Tyrena on Cor. when all of the sudden 4 swoppers where ontop of me. I had not seen any red dots on my radar and then i saw yellow dots start to pop up, i killed the swoppers, when 4 new one instantly popped on me again even when i had kept running while fighting, the 3rd time they managed to get me down, and then they disapered. When i was up and running, i crawled back to the position where they had first jumped me and that was 500m sw, and BAM got warped on again, and this time died. They really need to fix this. If they do i personally think Rifle is the way to go for a Ranger.
