I really don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I noticed that when I made stims in "town" my experiment failure rates were MUCH higher on the public crafting stations there than in my camp. So if you see medics making stims and wound packs at the crafting stations in town, invite them to camp with you while they make their stims.
