I think your 5 letters above have been right on the money. You don't make wild claims with little or no evidence, you don't try to force huge changes before fixing andincreasing the usefulness ofwhat we already have, and you understand the need for balance in the system.

These three things elude 99% of all posters on the SWG forums, and it's nice to see that the Rangers have a correspondent that understands how to get the developer's attention - in a logical, cool-headed manner. You approach the subjects well, you provide good, solid, succinctarguments in your reasoning, and you do it in a way that makes it sound fun and exciting, without stepping on any toes of the other professions or making the Rangers look like a bunch of powergamers. You clearly understand that the developers want to see reasonable and useful suggestions for the current system, and not the massive overhaul suggestions many try to ram down their throats over on the development board.Your summary and suggestions, from 1 to 5,are *ALL* excellent and well thought-out, and I can see no reason why the developers wouldn't give serious consideration to each and every point you've made. All of them are exciting and very realistic, in terms of their scope and likelihood of implementation, and the balance that comes with each and every one.

No, I'm not a Ranger anymore -but I still take a vested interest in their development, and I'm glad to see that many of the issues I've had with the profession are being most solidly addressed by the their intelligent correspondant. Were these changes to takeeffect,I'd be back in a heartbeat

Keepup the good work -well done. ~J

Thank you Omegaplex, most gracious of you.

I can only hope that our overworked developer can return to our profession in a timely fashion, and possibly implement some of the suggested changes.

Good Hunting.

I was going to say...

I'm a DE, a merchant, a rifleman, a scout, a ranger (not all the same character), and you by far are the best correspondant.

By far.

Some of the others are pushing agendas that are over the top, some are too emotional about not getting every e-mail or post they ever write answered, but you are not.

You are thinking bigger picture. Thanks for your balanced and wide view. Holocron will understand this view, and appreciate it. Keep up the good work.

Nraas
just wanted to take the time and say thanks again. Your dedication and dilligence really adds to the enjoyment of the game.
It is nice to see a correspondant who cares about the entire game rather than a myopic view of a single class.

Slythe,

I'll try and not take that as a slam.

N'Rass,

Keep up the good work, bro. You're much better as a Ranger Correspondent than I ever was (well, acting).

Actually Delta, I haven't really read your work in the scout forum.

No offense really was intended to the other correspondents, it just seems that some folks are not suited for these roles.

Big picture is important, and NRaas has shown an objective viewpoint a mile wide.

All the correspondents clearly are working hard, but not all of them are working smart.

Delta and NRaas are by far the best ocrrespondents I've read on these forums. How did we get so lucky? We brag a lot about how calm and mature our forums are, and it is you two who set the tone. Thanks guys!

lol all you buttkissers should know that getting NRaas and Delta on your side isn't going to get you nominated for the next correspondent vote!

I agree completely that NRaas and Delta are easily the best correspondents. I don't read all the profession forums, but between the Scout Ranger Medic Marksman Rifleman & Pistoleer forums, you 2 are way ahead of the curve. No competition (even if there actually were a competition).

Thanks,

Yeah I don't want to change correspondents. I hope NRaas does it for a long time.

Going off topic, but many moons ago I knew a Slythetove, on Palomides/Hibernia. And the sig seems familiar. Any relation?
