Can you Rangers track a PC or a faction pet such as an AT-ST?

using animal I sometimes get AT-ST that naturally occure in Imp spawns. I have not checked in the PC scan if those pets show, however. I don't think PC pets show on the animal scan, it was a patch a while ago that fixed this.
