Thread: Facing my subconscious fear of Eopies and Zucca Boars

Hunting for that elusive hermit today and just killing on the way, I saw a pack of zucca boars and avoided them. Then I wondered, what the heck am I doing, they con light-blue!

Took me a second, but I suddenly realized I was scared of Zucca Boars. Then I realized, Eopies scare me too. Reason being is because when I was a pup they kicked the snot out of me over, and over, and over, until I just shot other stuff. Even though they are one-shots for me now I never tested the Zucca Boars and Eopies again.

So I braced myself and killed a bunch of Zucca Boars.

Am I the only Ranger / BH in the galaxy afraid of the stuff that kicked my butt all over the place in my younger years?

I think I have the Zucca Boars licked now, but I must brace myself to confront the Eopies...

Nope. For the longest time I never ever never shot at rasps, cuz they ate my lunch more than once on Talus.

Now not only are they a one shot, they are annoying as they seem to follow me -- twitch twitch -- I swear they are... no, I mean it... they are on Corellia, Talus... I think I saw some on Dantooine, just outside the outpost waiting on me... I know they were on Rori, just out of radar range, laffing at me.

Brb, the nice man in white with my pills is here now.

Dont worry JB. The men in the white jackets will be there.

And there are a couple naboo creatures. I was scared to death of. And im finally going "Hey their a joke now". In a lot of cases Im taking venegence upon creatures that ruined my life as a noob. I am the killer of Shauputs! At my level there a cake walk. But its just a case of revenge.

Now spiked krevols are a different story

I also avoid shooting any social mob that kicked my ass back when I was a novice marksman. The exception are kusaks. They can still kick my ass, but I shoot them on sight. I harbor an undying hatred due to minutes starting at the cold Lokian soil thanks to unwanted intervention by kusaks during my hunts.

I take mad vengeance on kreetles. My life goal is to exterminate the kreetle species. Ever since that day as a novice entertainer who saw a mission terminal and went to try her CDEF and earn BIG money... I will never erase the horrid memory of that god-awful flailing struggle and subsequent cloning.

For the longest time, I would not kill vynocks.

Vynocks. UGH. My first day playing, I decided to hit a vynock nest. I didn't yet learn to target multiple targets effectively. I was incapped and swore never to attack another vynock. Heh.

I used to run around their nests like they were aggro. Now, I'm much better.

Ths is a therapy post isnt it? Do we all feel better now?

Last night my Panther killed a Plains Cat on Naboo. I was afraid to even send him in. Sure i hit targets that are much higher. But comeone its a Plains cat and there tough and uber and killed my new clan mates a lot. Its almost a good thing we have these fears in game. Because sometimes we get cocky and need to be reminded what it was like to be new.

Dalyrakes.

My very first visit to Narmle, Talus, I was running up the hills, loving the terrain negotiation and basically feeling like a good little scout.

I happened upon some Dalyrakes. I was freaked -- they conned red, they were ugly, they were big, and they were scary looking. They made quick work of me (this was back when a yellow dot on the radar broke /maskscent every time so I had just quit using it).I hadn't cloned yet, so I sat in the cloning center licking my wounds.

I would avoid all Dalyrakes like the plague. You can all imagine just how happy I was when I accidently aggrod and killed one.

On a side note, I'm learning to hatethose darn Mammoth Bearded Jax on Rori. Seems like they break maskscent every single time.

Spineflap swarms for me.

I can thrash them with a vengeance... But man I avoided them like the plague during my early days.

I still can't wander too close to them, without immediately backtracking.

Guess the feeling just stuck.

I feel your pain....for me it was shauputs on Naboo i was like sweet sugar covered bananas to those little dudes. They con light blue to me now and i can take them all out easily, but the fear remains of the times when i was on a mission and got swarmed by them....

I imagine that they are swarming with diseases and parasites, they probably carry ebola or schistosomiasis or lyme disease or something.

I hate their smug little faces when they incap you, and stand over your body and do their little monkey dance.

I hate them all

I want to kill them all.

There is too much drama in my life....

For me, my arch nemesis was the Dragonette.

Now, don't get me wrong...these are the biggest lizard on Tat untill you get into Krayts. They STILL kick my a$$.

However, If I find one alone, it is SOOOOO dead.

usually takes me 1 incap to take him out...but thats okay...the experience and bone quantity make it worthwhile.

Now I need to find some bocatts...

Lets not forget the NPCs we hate as well. Jawas were the first non aggro mob that i finally got my faction low enough to aggro on me. Now I wade into a tribe of jawas, laugh maniacally, and start plowing down innocent little Jawas. Innocent? let me rethink that. They are shifty eyed buggers who tried to cheat Uncle Owen out of his hard earned creds. They must all die!

Kreatles I said it I'm on the road to recovery . Those nasty little kreatles. My first day in the game, I got owned by those nasty things. I hate those bugs, I have woken up my wife screaming "those Kreatles, please don't bite me nO No No Noooo." It is my duty to rid Tatooine of that vile scum. Even when they die they look nasty those horrible insect legs laying on it's back in a fetal position.. They must die!!!!!

hey! this is funny! I thought i was the only one who felt like that!

It's Shaupauts on Naboo for me... they terrorized me several times when i was just starting, and so I always had this voice in the back of mind "avoid Shaupauts avoid avoid..." Then the other day a few popped up right in front of me and aggro'd me whenI was preoccupied crafting some traps. At firstI panicked, and then suddenly they were all dead! Only about two shots each! Ha Ha ! Take that you bullies!
